3 years ago Olive Branch Animal Shelter posted a picture on Facebook of 2 sister pups that had been found in a dumpster. They were 6 weeks old. We adopted them both and love them. My husband recently passed away and my daughter and I have moved to a small house. The backyard is not fenced. We are no longer able to keep them and would love to find a loving home for them as soon as possible

Nancy is the kind of dog that makes every day brighter. She’s incredibly happy, loving, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. She loves kids, enjoys playing, and then settles down easily when it’s time to relax. She’s extremely food motivated — especially if snacks are involved — and definitely has a salty tooth. Nancy is also very smart and genuinely tries hard to understand her people. Over the past couple of weeks, she has really gotten the hang of going potty outside and is learning how to communicate when she needs to go. She’s developed the sweetest little routine where she’ll look at me, and when I ask, “Do you have to pee? Let’s try,” she happily walks to the door and lets me leash her to go outside. If she doesn’t need to go, she simply stands away from the door and waits for pets instead. She’s clearly trying her best to communicate and learn. Nancy loves toys, sticks, car rides, and hikes. She enjoys being close to her people and is a huge cuddler — personal space is not really her thing. She especially loves curling up in Lightning’s bed, even though Lightning is her foster doggy brother and may want his own space sometimes. When we’re working, Nancy is mostly just a little slug relaxing nearby. She’s calm in the house, not constantly reacting to every bird chirp or passing truck, and is happiest lounging in a comfy bed near her people. She’s affectionate, goofy, smart, and so easy to love.
