Story
She is 80% neopolitan mastiff and 20% Cane Corso. She is 7 Months old and 90 pounds. She is a very wiggly and happy puppy with so much extra skin and the cutest butt wrinkles you have ever seen. She was born from a pregnant neopolitan mother we rescued from the shelter and when we got the DNA back and found out the puppies were 100% mastiff that was pretty exciting! She is great with other dogs, she likes to play a lot and she has been around small dogs but she may play a little rough for tiny ones. She has been around cats but occasionally tries to chase. She is extremely affectionate and cuddly. She is crate trained and pretty well potty trained. To excellent home only, please tell me about yourself.

Story
Zen is a 6-year-old male Neo Mastiff mix who’s as big-hearted as he is big in stature. Rescued from a shelter after his previous owners surrendered him for being “too big,” Zen is now on the hunt for his forever home where he can truly shine. Zen is a sweet, playful giant with a lot of energy for his breed. He’s very intelligent and learns quickly, making him a joy to train. However, Zen prefers to be the only dog in the home; he can get jealous and aggressive with other dogs, wanting all the attention for himself. When he's your one and only, he’s incredibly loving and will shower you with affection. Though he’s not reactive to other dogs on leash, Zen does best in a home without canine companions. He appreciates careful introductions to new people, especially those who approach unexpectedly. Zen’s ideal owner will be someone experienced with his breed and capable of continuing his training and socialization. If you’re ready to welcome a devoted and energetic companion into your life, Zen could be the perfect fit. He’s looking for a loving home where he can be the center of attention and enjoy all the love he has to give!

Story
Dane is a stunning blue merle great dane mix. He is about 8 months old and great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. He was rescued from a small rural shelter where he was slated to be euthanized due to time and space. He is a chill dude who likes to nap, go on walks and hang with his friends. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue(copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Story
Meet Strawberry Lemonade!Affectionately called Berries or Bear by her foster family, this big St Bernard girl was found atop a mountain pass above Lukachukai AZ, starving, unable to walk and with five tiny newborn babies. She gave everything she had keep her babes alive and did an amazing job! After her rescue and during the course of rehabilitation, it became apparent that her inability to walk wasn’t just malnutrition and muscle atrophy. We did full body X-rays to make sure nothing was broken and found that she was not broken. Then Berries was seen at CSU neurology where an MRI was completed. There, she was diagnosed with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This is a congenital disease where the cerebellum is malformed. The cerebellum is responsible for posture, balance, stability and fine motor skills. Bear is sometimes wobbly. She needs assistance on stairs and getting in and out of cars, however, she is a perfectly healthy dog otherwise. She is in no pain. There is no cure and there is no further treatment that can better her condition. The doctors have told us that she will likely live a completely normal life, with exception of some help climbing things, safety around water and things she could fall off of.Our Bear is the biggest sweetheart. She was an amazing mom to her babies and loved all of them fiercely. Her babes have all moved on to other fosters and are available for adoption as well! Berries is the best foster surrogate mom as well. She made two of our more recent foster puppies feel right at home. She loves little baby dogs. She acclimated quickly to our resident dogs and quickly claimed her place in the pack as if she’d been here forever. She loves to go for walks. She loves car rides. She loves adventures. Berries is fully potty trained and she sleeps on her dog bed all through the night. She walks amazing on leash. She is endearingly stubborn and sensitive and sweet. She is the best big girl ever. We think she is about 2 years old. We have loved every minute with her and are so happy to see her healthy and thriving.Bear has a disability but she is not at all unable. She is smart, strong and worthy of all the love in the world. She has survived unimaginable hunger, abandonment, abuse and uncertainty. She will make any adopter so lucky to share life with. If you’d like to meet our sweet girl, please apply at souldog.org.
