Story
Hollywood is truly a star in the making. How anyone ever gave up this dog, we cannot imagine. He has been nothing but perfection in his southern foster home and we can’t wait to receive him! He needs a forever home on 5/4 and his pick up is in Amesbury MA.

“Hollywood is a gentle giant. He would take belly rubs 24/7 if given to him. He loves to be around people and yearns for attention. Seems he never met a stranger. Very friendly at the stores (ex. Tractor Supply) he has been to. Everyone wants to pet him because he is big and he loves the attention. Wants to be around other dogs. Overall, a very happy and loving furbaby.”
He has the BEST foster dad in TN. Hollywood lives with a cat (and is great!), an 8 year old dog, and two senior dogs (all girls!). Hollywood LOVES the fenced in yard where his 90 pound body actually has zoomies, it’s a sight to see (see video)!
His foster dad brought him to be groomed and he also had a field trip to Tractor Supply where he loved everyone he met. Though he loves his zoomies, he is a gentle giant chill of a guy. He is house trained and does well on leash, loves to ride in the car, and fancies rides in the golf cart! He has average energy level and “plays well for short periods of time and then rests. He loves to go on walks.” He knows how to shake hands when asked, and sits “most” of the time, but rewards are motivating for him to nail this basic too.
Rescue story––Hollywood, along with his brother Viper, were rescued by Albertville Animal Control at the local Burger King Restaurant. They were begging for food. Viper was adopted back on October 2023 and Hollywood too except his family returned him after deciding they do not have enough time. So Hollywood’s heart was broken again.
Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival to MA. Pups not pre-adopted are available to meet in their MA foster homes after your application is approved. Should this pup receive an adoption commitment prior to your application being processed, we will share with you the other arriving pups that may be a match for you, some of which are not yet posted online. All of our pups come with the following:

dosed with flea and tick + heartworm preventatives
new martingale collar (sometimes a harness) with 6' lead + temp ID tag
30-days free insurance to be activated within 24 hours of your wellness visit with your veterinarian
microchip with free registration
WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Evangers food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.
