Story
Hollywood is truly a star in the making. How anyone ever gave up this dog, we cannot imagine. He has been nothing but perfection in his southern foster home and we can’t wait to receive him! He needs a forever home on 5/4 and his pick up is in Amesbury MA. 3 years young + 90 pounds of FLUFF “Hollywood is a gentle giant. He would take belly rubs 24/7 if given to him. He loves to be around people and yearns for attention. Seems he never met a stranger. Very friendly at the stores (ex. Tractor Supply) he has been to. Everyone wants to pet him because he is big and he loves the attention. Wants to be around other dogs. Overall, a very happy and loving furbaby.” He has the BEST foster dad in TN. Hollywood lives with a cat (and is great!), an 8 year old dog, and two senior dogs (all girls!). Hollywood LOVES the fenced in yard where his 90 pound body actually has zoomies, it’s a sight to see (see video)! His foster dad brought him to be groomed and he also had a field trip to Tractor Supply where he loved everyone he met. Though he loves his zoomies, he is a gentle giant chill of a guy. He is house trained and does well on leash, loves to ride in the car, and fancies rides in the golf cart! He has average energy level and “plays well for short periods of time and then rests. He loves to go on walks.” He knows how to shake hands when asked, and sits “most” of the time, but rewards are motivating for him to nail this basic too. Rescue story––Hollywood, along with his brother Viper, were rescued by Albertville Animal Control at the local Burger King Restaurant. They were begging for food. Viper was adopted back on October 2023 and Hollywood too except his family returned him after deciding they do not have enough time. So Hollywood’s heart was broken again. Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival to MA. Pups not pre-adopted are available to meet in their MA foster homes after your application is approved. Should this pup receive an adoption commitment prior to your application being processed, we will share with you the other arriving pups that may be a match for you, some of which are not yet posted online. THIS PUP IS STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS LISTING––we pull listings down after receiving 2 - 3 viable applications to minimize adopter disappointment. Please do not email, simply submit an application link here www.rescueinc.dog/adopt and we do respond to every application within 48 hours.  Read through our adoption FAQs here www.rescueinc.dog/FAQs and our adoption process is here www.rescueinc.dog/the-process All of our pups come with the following:  spayed or neutered age appropriate vaccinations + dewormed + 4DX test (if older than 6 months) health certificates  dosed with flea and tick + heartworm preventatives new martingale collar (sometimes a harness) with 6' lead + temp ID tag 30-days free insurance to be activated within 24 hours of your wellness visit with your veterinarian microchip with free registration  WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Evangers food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.  Ages listed can be approximate and breed mixes are a best guess based on physical characteristics.   Approved Massachusetts Rescue #0048 // Registered 501c3 EIN #84-3954548  ##2021686##

He is a sweet, laid back pup who thrives on human affection. He is a low to medium energy dog who enjoys a romp in the yard, followed by a nap or some time chewing on his bones and deer antlers. Fred would benefit from an owner who is familiar with his breed and is dedicated to continuing his training. He has a playful demeanor and loves to play with dogs of all ages and sizes. Fred is a bouncy boy who takes cues from other dogs well and would be a perfect candidate for doggy daycare. He has not yet met a cat, but with his calm disposition he would likely be fine. Fred loves children and would do best in a home with dog savvy children. At the end of the day, he loves to snuggle up on the floor to watch a movie with his family.Fred is a smart boy who loves to show off his “sit” command for a treat (or two). While he’d rather be hanging out with you on the couch and lets you know it, he is crated occasionally throughout the day and overnight. Fred loves being part of the family and would make a great work from home buddy. He is mostly house trained, and with time and patience he will master it quickly. He enjoys walking on a leash and looks to his humans for encouragement, especially when he hears loud noises. Fred would love a patient, loving family who will be able to show him the ropes of puppyhood. Is this big ole fluffball the one for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website.
