Story
💗 Name: Anderson 📅 Intake Date: 10/20/26 🎂 Birthday (DOB): 10/20/24 ✂️ Altered: Yes 🩺 Heartworm Status: Negative ⚖️ Weight: Large (60-99) 🐾 Good with other dogs? Yes 🐈 Good with cats? Unknown 👦 Good with kids? Unknown 🐕 Leash Trained? Yes 🏠 House Trained? Unknown Tall, dark, and handsome is officially on the market! Anderson is a black Lab mix with golden-brown eyes, a white blaze down his chest, and a slightly shaggy look that says he cleans up well without trying too hard. He arrived as a stray alongside his brother Asher, and now he’s ready to meet someone new. He enjoys meeting people, gets along with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and knows basic commands. Good manners? Check. Easygoing attitude? Check. A little mystery? Absolutely. His ideal match: Someone who appreciates a handsome gentleman with a friendly disposition and is ready to help him settle in. If you’re looking for a guy who’s easy to introduce to your friends and easy on the eyes, Anderson might just be your type. ------------- Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!
