She came to us as an owner surrender after a landlord policy change made it difficult for their family to keep her.Melly is an active, fun-loving pup who enjoys spending time with her people and is always ready for some playtime. She has been around men, women, and children and have done well with them. However, Melly is not good with cats and will need a cat-free home.With her affectionate personality and active nature, Melly would love a family who can give her plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and adventures. If you`re looking for a fun and loving young companion, Melly might be the perfect match! ??This pet is available for adoption on 8/10/2025 at 2:30 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Ready to adopt?Great news-our spayed/neutered pets are available to go home the same day! Polly is a 2-year old Newfoundland that my mother decided to acquire. My mother has since experienced issues of aging and will need to move to a smaller housing situation that will not accommodate a large dog. The dog has lived in the house with limited exposure to other animals she has been trained but training has not been reinforced this past year.
