Monster might sound like a tough name, but don’t be fooled—he’s all heart! The grandchildren dubbed him "Monster" because of his size, not his personality (though he could probably scare off any bad vibes with those big, friendly eyes). He’s a big boy, but that just means more of him to love! This sweet giant gets along with other dogs, and we’re pretty sure he’d be a fantastic addition to any family looking for a loyal and loving companion. He’s the kind of dog who’s always ready to cuddle, hang out, and be part of the pack. Monster’s past hasn’t been the easiest. He was left behind when his owners moved away, but the neighbors, who had been feeding him, stepped in and gave him the care he needed. Now, he’s hanging out with Greta, our other foster dog, but his heart is set on finding that forever home where he can settle in and be part of the family for good. If you’re looking for a big, sweet boy to share your life with, Monster is ready and waiting. He’s got the love, the patience, and the loyalty to make your home complete. Will you be the one to give this gentle giant the happily-ever-after he deserves?

VC ***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NOW ***** Intact female ~1 yr old 28 pounds Vaccines given 11-19-25 No microchip ALT ID# 11-18-25 17 Nervous, go slow, not socialized, needs training, does not walk on leash, may bite out of fear *****Animals are eligible for adoption by the public after their stray hold period. Rescues are permitted to pull NOW; animal is also legally available for euthanasia on this same date. AVAS will continue to follow the protocols in place for the health/safety of the animals in our care. The canine population currently in our care that are not showing symptoms will be posted on our website for public viewing. Canines will continue to be monitored by our medical staff under the direction of our supervising Veterinarian.
