He’s a big boy, but that just means more of him to love! This sweet giant gets along with other dogs, and we’re pretty sure he’d be a fantastic addition to any family looking for a loyal and loving companion. He’s the kind of dog who’s always ready to cuddle, hang out, and be part of the pack. Monster’s past hasn’t been the easiest. He was left behind when his owners moved away, but the neighbors, who had been feeding him, stepped in and gave him the care he needed. We sprung Danny from the shelter in San Diego where he came in as a stray in dire need of some TLC. He was severely malnourished at 30lbs underweight with wounds and cuts to his as well as skin and ear infections. Despite everything, this boy has been an absolute love. He is friendly and relaxed with people, happy to interact with dogs, and a real homebody. He is incredibly loving and trusting, and we’re already seeing glimpses of his playful curiosity, gentle energy, and even some signs of past training. He walks beautifully on a leash, takes treats with the sweetest enthusiasm, and shows a natural sense of polite behavior. He has not yet had an introduction to kids or cats, but from his demeanor it is likely he will be friendly with both. Danny would do best in a home with multiple adults that will minimize his alone time as he acclimates to his new life.
