Would make a good lap dog or walking partner. Ghost is a silly boy learning to trust more every day. He's curious and often on the move, and can move with ghost like skills. You can be following him around the corner and he'll already be behind you when you look back! And he will fly in and out of the sliding door so fast you almost don't see him! He's starting to play with his foster siblings and hang out with the family. He's crate trained and sleeps in one at night. He loves the back yard and rolling in the grass. He's good with the cat and all the dogs in his foster home, including the big dog. He's food motivated so it will be helpful in helping him trust. He is strikingly handsome, and will be even more so as his beautiful papillon coat and ear fringe grow out with proper care. The leg has been repaired. ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Meet Bungee, he is a tiny 2-year-old Papillon weighing just 8 pounds. He is a very timid, skittish boy who will need a patient and understanding home. Bungee spends much of his time under the bed, but he is beginning to come out more often and look around. He loves playing with toys “like a ninja,” especially when no one else is around. He is still frightened of being picked up and may run and hide, but he enjoys sleeping beside his foster parent once he feels safe. Bungee recently had surgery to repair a broken leg and still favors it at times. His recovery will need to be monitored, and his adopter should follow veterinary guidance regarding activity. Just this weekend, Bungee took a wonderful step forward by using the stairs to climb onto the bed by himself! He can be wary of new people and needs a couple of days to warm up and build trust, but once he does, he bonds deeply with his people and looks to them for comfort and protection. Echo has a wonderful balance of energy. He loves zooming around and playing with his toys, but he’s just as happy to settle down for quiet time—and he absolutely loves getting belly rubs! Echo plays well with other dogs, although he has a very serious-sounding growl when he wants to make his point. It may sound like a fight is about to start, but it’s simply his way of communicating. He does not enjoy being left in his crate, though he eventually settles. He will also need continued help with leash training.
