Story
Rocket was born in October 2015. January 2016 we purchased him from the Yuppie Puppy pet store which specialized in getting dogs from “good breeders” not puppy mills. We had a previous dog for 17 years and the house just seemed empty without a dog. The whole family was in alignment to get a new dog and understood the commitment to training a puppy.Rocket’s early years were spent at home and our children were in 3rd and 7th grade when he arrived. He enjoyed playdates in the yard with the kids and their friends. Playing ball, hide-and-seek and building forts. Rocket would just runaround with the kids and always wanted to be involved. My husband and I work traditional 9-5 jobs and the kids went to school. Some days Rocket would go to “puppy daycare” which he thoroughly enjoyed. In true Jack Russell fashion he would try to rule the place. Walking on the perimeter top of the fence as if he was on patrol. We used to joke with the proprietors and say he thought he was the mayor. When Rocket was about 4 we noticed he developed some environmental allergies. Pink belly and chewing at his feet. We brought him to the Vet and he needed an allergy shot. We also like to have rockets nails trimmed. Otherwise they split and he hurts his toes while running around and digging. He gets this allergy shot seasonally in the fall and spring, essentially 2x a year.Rocket has his own room (the dining room which is gated) with a crate and has NEVER slept in a bed with us or our kids. Occasionally there is a nap on the couch, but for the most part everyone has their own bed and he sleeps solidly through the night 7-8 hours.  Sometimes Rocket wakes up grumpy and it takes him a few minutes to adjust. Just give him space and a moment to wake up and he is fine. April 28, 2024, 3:53 pm

This sweetie is still looking for her furever home.Things to know about silly Tilly:-cuddles- wants constant approval-loves to run and play-enjoys all things to eat-loves walkies-loves her foster sisters (she's always cleaning their ears)I just don't know how this sweetie pie hasn't been adopted yet. All she wants is love! She is a little over a year old and about 20-25 pounds! House trained! She’s perfect!Silly Tilly is popping in to say hi! We love this girl so much. She is loving, smart, and downright loyal. It absolutely blows my mind that she has not been adopted yet. She deserves a family and someone who will give her all their love. She's doing amazing right now with us, she loves her foster siblings and foster parents.Tilly's favorite spot is next to foster mom! This sweetie is still looking for her furever home. Things to know about silly tilly: -cuddles - wants constant approval -loves to run and play -enjoys all things to eat -loves walkies -loves her foster sisters (she's always cleaning their ears) -shy girl who needs patience to warm up and lots of love. I just don't know how this sweetie pie hasn't been adopted yet. All she wants is love!I became tilly's foster about two weeks ago. This girl is the sweetest baby. All she wants is love and cuddles! She was very shy at first, but quickly adjusted to our lives. She loves to play with our doggos, eat all the food and cuddle on the couch she's my cuddle bug. She's up for adoption, but it will be very hard to see her go!Miss Tilly loves enjoying the sun on the porch while I work. She is doing great with my crew even my 2 year old toddler. She just goes to her crate if annoyed. She’s is a terrier mix and super sweet! Still a little shy when other dogs are around but if it’s just me and her she’s all about being rubbed and held. She loves to run and play but also enjoys cuddling on couch and settles down quickly. She eats well but hasn’t been crazy about my carrot and green pepper treats. she weighs about 12 lbs and is up to date on all shots and preventatives. She’s just a perfect dog! Needs a fence to run around in!Tilly is making herself at home. Still timid yet submissive and making progress in her own time. Loves my Boston Terrior and they take turns cleaning each others ears in my office everyday while I work. Oh what a girl. Tilly found herself at a shelter and she had pushed the wrong buttons so she needed out before it was too late Till is a young girl that is full of play. She considers her human as one of the things she plays with and sometimes it is too rough. Who would blame her since she clearly had never be given the choice to make right decisions.Tilly needs an active owner. Some one who love the outdoors and can include her. She would be a great jogging, hiking camping bubbly She would be too much for children right now, but if she has the right owner that would change. A fenced yard is suggested.Russellrescuetn@gmail.comAvailable dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step.
