Story
Meet princess. A cute little purebred Pekingese. Princess was brought to me because she has a medical condition that the owner did not want. She tilts her head back-and-forth. It’s a neurological issue. She has been seen by a vet and there is nothing to be done about it. She is happy and gets along just fine, she plays with the other dogs, has a funny personality. Likes to chase after my chickens in a curious way. She loves to cuddle on the couch and watch tv. She also love to sleep in bed next to you. Her condition is the way it is and she lives happy and just fine. There is nothing really to be done about it but let her enjoy her live. her adoption fee is 350 and covers her first sets of shots, wormer, microchip and a $100 reimbursement after her Spay or Neuter is completed. We provide insurance that covers 80% of the steakhouse gives you a $3000 Comprehensive and helps pay for the Initial vet visits. If you are interested in adoption, please give us a call.

Story
FOSTER NEEDED! Scooter was rescued by Jelly's Place after being hit by a car in the Central Valley, without use of his back legs. He has been treated by our vet and had some pretty serious fractures to his lower spine. We thought he would never be able to walk, but Scooter keeps surprising us! This fierce little boy has a strong spirit, and can now stand occasionally, and is doing great with his "wheels"! We absolutely adore this doggy and can't wait for him to find his furever home who will love him as much as we do. The perfect home for Scooter would be a quiet home, adults/older kids, with a nice soft yard where he can play and chase squirrels. He would be fine with another small to medium dog. He is so loving and resilient, he will bark at stranger but quickly become their best friend. Scooter is a small loving boy with a lion's heart. He is currently our office dog so you will have to prove your love for him for us to let him go. Scooter is neutered, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. If interested in meeting this very special boy, please complete an application at jellysplace.org.

Story
**Coral is a mixed-breed dog and we cannot guarantee that she is allergy-friendly.**   Coral is a ray of sunshine! Coral is a 5-year-old curly-haired cutie who charms everyone she meets with her endearing personality and adorable looks. She is the epitome of easy-going and is happy to do whatever you're doing as long as she gets to be with you. Coral is fully grown and weighs about 16lbs. Coral came to us from the Yolo County Animal Shelter after she was found as a stray in Woodland. She had a microchip, so the shelter staff tried to contact her owners but no one came forward to claim her. After almost two weeks at the shelter, we decided to break her out and she has been thriving in her foster home ever since. Coral is a happy-go-lucky girl who loves to play but won't turn down some cuddles on the couch. She loves to go for walks and seems to have been taught some great leash manners. She is a social butterfly who wants to say hi to everyone she meets and seems like she could be a good dog for someone who wants a dog to take to dog-friendly breweries and restaurants. She overall is a very well-mannered girl and it's pretty impossible not to love her right after meeting her. Coral has done well living with another dog and may enjoy having a dog buddy in her new home. She also seems like she could be okay being a spoiled only child. We haven't seen Coral around cats, but she may do okay with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Coral seems like she would do well with kids and could be a great addition to a family with kids over 5 years old. Coral seems housetrained and has done well being crated when home alone and overnight. She isn't destructive but does love to play tug and fetch. Coral has done well living in an apartment. Due to her fur type, Coral will require regular grooming to keep her growing fur managed. Her new family should expect to pay for routine professional grooming or be knowledgeable enough to do it themselves. Coral is such a sweet little girl and deserves the happily ever after she has been waiting for. If you think you might be her happy ending, submit an adoption application today!   Coral's adoption fee is $350.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/           Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworms, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. May 6, 2024, 2:22 pm
