**Coral is a mixed-breed dog and we cannot guarantee that she is allergy-friendly.**   Coral is a ray of sunshine! Coral is a 5-year-old curly-haired cutie who charms everyone she meets with her endearing personality and adorable looks. She is the epitome of easy-going and is happy to do whatever you're doing as long as she gets to be with you. Coral is fully grown and weighs about 16lbs. Coral came to us from the Yolo County Animal Shelter after she was found as a stray in Woodland. She had a microchip, so the shelter staff tried to contact her owners but no one came forward to claim her. After almost two weeks at the shelter, we decided to break her out and she has been thriving in her foster home ever since. Coral is a happy-go-lucky girl who loves to play but won't turn down some cuddles on the couch. She loves to go for walks and seems to have been taught some great leash manners. She is a social butterfly who wants to say hi to everyone she meets and seems like she could be a good dog for someone who wants a dog to take to dog-friendly breweries and restaurants. She overall is a very well-mannered girl and it's pretty impossible not to love her right after meeting her. Coral has done well living with another dog and may enjoy having a dog buddy in her new home. She also seems like she could be okay being a spoiled only child. We haven't seen Coral around cats, but she may do okay with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Coral seems like she would do well with kids and could be a great addition to a family with kids over 5 years old. Coral seems housetrained and has done well being crated when home alone and overnight. She isn't destructive but does love to play tug and fetch. Coral has done well living in an apartment. Due to her fur type, Coral will require regular grooming to keep her growing fur managed. Her new family should expect to pay for routine professional grooming or be knowledgeable enough to do it themselves. Coral is such a sweet little girl and deserves the happily ever after she has been waiting for. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworms, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age.      7 year old, 22 lb OBESE Lhasa Apso Mix SPAYED FEMALE for ADOPTION  Meet Zucchini Produce !     Zucchini is a ~7 year old Lhasa Apso mix that comes to us from Contra Costa Animal Services.  That sounds like a big range, but she acts like a 4 year old but possibly due to neglect seemed to be a bit older as far as her coat and teeth looked   Zucchini is currently 22 lbs and (like a lot of us) needs to shed a few lbs to be a healthy weight. She needs to be around 18 lbs is what the vet tells us. She is a little picky but obviously likes to eat (sounds like me!).   She is a huge fan of Puppachinos and she gets a bite or two after a long week of eating healthy. She is really good about taking any meds in some wet food. She also loves the sound of her own voice so an apartment would not be the best setting for her long term.     She does have dry eye and will need eye drops for life (a combo of prescription and OTC).    This is what her foster mom has to say about this sweet girl -   'Zucchini is a very active dog. She’s a good girl, very sweet and she loves praise. All she wants to do is play with the other dogs in her foster home. She can be pushy and doesn’t know the meaning of boundaries. We highly recommend training classes to help her learn manners and succeed. She’s super happy and loves to go on walks. Once she sees the leash in your hand she gets crazy happy.   She should lose a few pounds and actually she has since she’s been in her foster home.   She will follow you everywhere if she loves you. She’s not a Velcro dog but she wants to be close enough to you to see you. She loves to give you kisses and receiving lots of belly rubs in return. She HATES staying the kennel and can be very vocal. Car rides are not a favorite of hers either but she’s learning.   We don’t recommend a home with cats because she will chase them. Since she needs help learning her limits, older children in the home is also recommended. She freely uses the potty pads and if taken out she will do her business. She has not yet learned to go out on her own.    Her foster mom says she is spoiled and likely lived in a home who did not give her any boundaries or make her share. Meet beautiful Lucy! She is a 2-3-year-old, 14 pound, white and apricot, Lhasa- Malti- Poo mix. She was surrendered to AFC with her puppies Yogi & Rascal (also available for adoption) because the family had to many dogs. We do not think she is hypoallergenic. She will require regular professional grooming to look her best. She is slightly shy and will need a little time to get used to a new living situation. She gets along very well with other dogs. She is super sweet and loves to sit in your lap and will give you kisses. She is starting to play with toys. She would be a welcome addition to a family home. We believe that she is house trained. At the sanctuary she is used to being let in and out regularly and is learning to go outside with the command “go potty. This adorable girl is leash trained and likes teenagers. This little guy would love to be the new love in your life? Meet Rascal. He is a 3-month-old, 8 pound, white and apricot beauty with dark brown eyes and is a Shih Tzu Mix. We do not think he is hypoallergenic. He was surrendered with his brother Yogi and mother Lucy (both available for adoption) because their family had to many dogs. He is such a sweetheart and wants to be your constant companion. He will expect to sit on the couch with you and sleep snuggled in your bed. Rascal is on the shy side and will needs lots o love. He will need to be professionally groomed every 4 – 6 weeks to stay mat free. He is a puppy and will require leash training when he is old enough to be outside safely. He will require housetraining too. Here at the sanctuary, we use the command "Go Potty" before we go outside for potty breaks. Rascal follows right along. This is a good practice to promote good habits. He is scheduled to be neutered but we are looking for his home now. He is microchipped and current on vaccinations. This sweet boy is waiting for you!
