Hey there folks!! It's me Lucky the peke---I am a super sweet and loving 7 year old 9 lb pekingese boy in search of my perfect and forever home. I love everyone I meet and that includes dogs...I say the more the merrier. I came to FCCR from a super crowded South Florida shelter where I had been an owner confiscate case after my owner passed away and no family came to claim me .... I waited there for about 8 days and it was awful!!! But I truly am a LUCKY boy in that FCCR snapped me up immediately once the call went out for help ...and now I am surrounded by love, care, and the kindness of truly amazing folks! My coat is super shiny and silky but my rear parts were so matted that it was immediately shaved down to let my skin breathe...no worries though as it will all grow back except for maybe a a rough patch from being on hot pavement apparently. Foster mommy will be putting coconut butter/oil on it to smooth it out so I am forever hopeful...after all I am one l.u.c.k.y. boy!!! Everyone please welcome our sweet senior boy Sammie! Sammie is a 13 year old Lhasa/Shih tzu mix sweetheart weighing 17 lbs. This little guy had no chance of being adopted at the local shelter given his age and condition and so we decided to take him into our Rescue and provide him with his BEST years. Sammie is both vision and hearing impaired but with that said, he will search you out to always be near you - he is truly a faithful and loyal companion who just wants to be near his human. He L.O.V.E.S. attention and has excellent house manners ---and he gets along great with everyone . Sammie is a gentle soul who deserves a loving home all his own...perhaps that's yours?
