Story
Bella – Tiny Princess, Big Heart, World-Class Snuggler Bella is a gentle, shy Pekingese who wants nothing more than a soft lap and someone to love her back. She walks beautifully on a leash with a little encouragement, and while she hasn’t quite mastered stairs yet, she’s learning to use a ramp and doing her best! Indoors, she’s a perfect lady with no accidents and excellent manners. Bella thinks cats are simply background décor — no chasing, no drama. With most of her teeth missing, she’ll need soft or moistened food, and an adopter who understands senior dog needs would be ideal. But the moment you reach out with a hug or a gentle hand, she melts into pure affection — like the first night in her foster home, when she couldn’t settle until she received a forehead kiss and then slept peacefully for hours. Bella doesn’t ask loudly for attention… but oh, does she blossom when she gets it. She loves running in her foster family’s grass like she’s young again and would love a yard of her own. Bella is ready to be someone’s heart dog — quiet, devoted, and endlessly snuggly. ✅ Three Things to Know About Bella • Needs softened food due to missing teeth • Shy sweetheart who thrives with gentle affection and senior-dog–savvy love • Will require regular grooming every 8 weeks to maintain her beautiful coat Bella is a female Pekingese who was was born approximately 10-25-15 and weighs 12 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative. She also had a dental procedure done with several extractions so she will need to remain on a soft diet. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. Barbara is an approximately 3 year old Bichon Frise who has recently entered rescue. We do not know much about her history so her birth date is an estimate. Barbara does not have much experience with people or living like a cherished pet. She will need a patient home to teach her routines, manners, and what it feels like to be loved.  The suggested adoption fee for Barbara is $495. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. Born 4/5/22, Tessa is a petite Bichon Frise who is brand new to rescue. She's already proven to be extremely affectionate once she is comfortable. Tessa is extremely timid and will need a family with patience and love. Tessa is working on all of the basics of being a dog, including potty training.   The suggested adoption fee for Tessa is $465.
