Story
I'm Francesca, a tiny Pekingese mix born in mid-June with a striking black and white bicolor coat. Though I'm a pint-sized pup, I've got a big personality full of affection and playfulness. I'll need you to help me grow, learn, and explore the world as I become your perfect little companion. So far, I am enjoying my foster care family who takes me to fun things like puppy yoga while I wait to meet my forever family. Come say hello at our next event. And if there’s a connection, apply to adopt me. I promise to fill your days with puppy kisses and joy!

Story
Hi! I'm Fabienne, a precious black and white Pekingese mix with a heart full of love. I was born in mid-June so I'm still a tiny pup with so much growing to do, and I'm already showing what an affectionate, cuddly girl I am. I'll need a home ready to help me learn the ropes of potty training, meeting new friends, and all those important puppy milestones. I promise to reward you with endless snuggles and devotion. Did I mention I love naps? I can't wait to find my forever home where I'll be cozy and cared for!

Story
**IMPORTANT NOTE: We ONLY post our dogs on Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet!  If you see Hart-2-Heart dogs on ANY OTHER platform, it is likely a SCAM - DO NOT submit an application on that platform!**  ----------- The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA, northern GA, DC area, southern MD and east TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you MUST contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com directly. There is an application process and adoption fee. ----------- Marley is a 7yr old blond Pekingese who weighs 10 pounds. Marley enjoys relaxing beside his favorite person, going for short leisurely strolls, and keeping an eye on everything happening around him. Marley gets along with other small dogs, although he is happiest simply sharing space rather than actively playing. We prefer Marley’s new family to be familiar with the Pekingese breed. Like many Pekingese, he has a charming personality and a touch of stubbornness.  Marley likes to ride in the car, and he has even flown in a plane cabin with his person.   While he is a mature dog, Marley enjoys exploring the yard and taking in the sights and sounds around him.   He has been to an eye specialist who diagnosed his left eye with "dry eye" (KCS), which means he needs tacrolimus eye drops 2 times a day for the rest of his life. These eye drops are approximately $55/bottle and last about 8 weeks.  One bottle will be included with him upon adoption.   There is an application process and adoption fee.  WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD.  The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps with no larger than 1.5 inches.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions.  We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business.  Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports.  Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing.  Adoption Fee: $500August 10, 2026, 9:08 pm

**IMPORTANT NOTE: We ONLY post our dogs on Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet!  If you see Hart-2-Heart dogs on ANY OTHER platform, it is likely a SCAM - do NOT submit an application on that platform!** ------------------ The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, northern GA, east TN, DC area, VA, and southern MD. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you MUST contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com directly. There is an application process and adoption fee. ----------- Pika Pika is an energetic, happy 3-year-old Pekingese who weighs about 10lbs. As you can see from her photos, she is missing one eye, but that does not hold this little girl back. Her favorite activity is dragging dog beds around the house and rolling in and under them.  If you know the Pekingese breed, these rolling and "redecorating" activities are most likely familiar to you.   Pika Pika is shy at first when meeting new people (particularly men), but once she’s comfortable, her puppy-like personality shines. She loves to play with the other small dogs in her foster mom’s home. We prefer her adopter to have experience with the Pekingese breed and be aware of how important it is to keep her safe so nothing happens to her good eye. She is doing well with leash walking,  but loud noises or strange objects can startle her on walks and she will balk.  Pika Pika will do best in a home with another small social dog, preferably a Pekingese, so she can continue to watch and learn from the other dog.  She walks best when she is with a social doggie companion.  She is VERY fast shooting out the door, can jump high, and gets really fired up (doing yard and house zoomies), especially in the afternoon and evening in advance of dinner time and "sofa-time."  Her foster mother can barely get meals ready fast enough for her; Pika Pika tries to help by demand-barking, and when that doesn't work, bed dragging is the second choice.  WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD.  The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches and attached to the home.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing.
