Story
Dog's Name: ForemanGender: Male Current Age: 1 yearCurrent Age Range: Young Adult (6 months to 1 year) Current Weight: 17 lbsExpected Adult Size: Small (under 25 lbs) Breed: Dachshund / Pekingese / Terrier mix Energy Level: Medium-High Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog. Cat Friendly: No Kids: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: No Fence Requirements: Physical fence preferred but not required with regular walks/exercise Crate Trained: He has learned to be OK in the crate, but occasionally has bouts of barking. Potty Trained: Not fully potty trained, working on it Ideal Home / Adopter: Foreman is a grab-life-by-the-reins-and-leave-no-trail-unblazed type of guy! He is friendly, social, and a total go-getter. He is not an energizer bunny, though. He enjoys calm downtime and settles in nicely without much help, but he will never say no to an adventure. Want to hike, road trip, or check out happy hour? Foreman already has his go bag packed. Likes: Puzzle toys, Kongs, dogs, adventures, love and attention, food, kids, car rides, and fetch! Dislikes: Cats. He is not aggressive, but he does not understand that they are not interested in being friends. He has also come a long way with crate training, though he may still bark a bit before settling down. Foreman is sweet, takes direction and correction very well, and loves pretty much everyone he meets. He is overzealous with cats and, although he would love having them around, cats definitely would not enjoy him as a roommate. He is used to living with other dogs and would likely thrive with a playful canine buddy, though he could also do well as an only dog. Kids are totally cool too! Foreman is almost housebroken with no marking behavior and loves puzzle toys and long-lasting chews. With his zest for life, he can also be a little chatty and is not afraid to let you know what he sees. He is mostly quiet in the home, but may bark occasionally in the crate or out in the yard. Foreman has the cutest little legs, about 2.5 inches long, and the curliest tail! He is a hilarious mix with a personality larger than life. He truly sees the best in every situation.  All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and the dog will be current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. ##2727942##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Dandie – Your Perfect Little Sidekick Dandie is the kind of dog who makes life sweeter simply by being beside you. He’s an easygoing, affectionate companion who loves spending time with his people—whether that’s relaxing on the couch, riding along on errands, or soaking up the fresh air on a leisurely walk. This handsome little guy has truly mastered the art of companionship. Dandie is happiest when he’s included in everyday life, and he would love a home where he can be your loyal shadow and favorite cuddle buddy. Easygoing & Loving: Dandie has a calm, gentle personality and a wonderfully laid-back nature. He’s content with the simple things—soft blankets, belly rubs, a comfy couch, and quality time with his humans. A Fun Little Personality: While he’s mostly a quiet and relaxed boy, Dandie occasionally lets out an adorable bark or playful howl just to keep things entertaining. Those little moments are guaranteed to make you smile. Adventure Ready: Dandie absolutely enjoys car rides and would happily tag along for trips to Lowe’s, coffee runs, or any outing where he gets to spend time with you. Crack the window a little so he can sniff the breeze, and he’s in heaven. House Training: Dandie does very well when kept on a consistent schedule. Yard & Walks: While a fenced yard is preferred for safety, it is not required. Dandie walks nicely on a leash and truly enjoys exploring the world alongside his person. The Perfect Home: Dandie would thrive in a home looking for a devoted, low-maintenance companion who simply wants to love and be loved. He’s the perfect match for someone wanting a loyal best friend to share cozy evenings, daily routines, and life’s little adventures. Dandie was returned to rescue through no fault of his own after his previous owner’s living situation changed. He has so much love left to give and is ready to begin his next chapter with a family who will cherish him forever. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion with a heart full of love, Dandie may just be your perfect match. Dandie’s adoption donation is $350. He is being fostered in Central Ohio and is neutered, microchipped, and current on rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella, and bivalent canine influenza vaccines. He has tested heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Dandie has also had a recent dental cleaning completed. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  May 24, 2026, 11:25 pm
