This lovely Bichon girl came to DASH with 2 other Bichons after having lived her whole life in a shed. She was not socialized at all and very shy. she has been in a foster home now for almost 2 years and has come a long way, but is still a shy girl. She loves to be in the same room with her foster mom just chillin, or loves being outside in the fenced in back yard. She gets along with other dogs in the foster home, but isn't really a player with the dogs or toys. She likes her space and is content to be in a soft doggie bed or a crate, which she sees as her safe place. She is not a lap dog. She does allow her foster mom to pick her up to brush her and will allow pets when there is cheese involved. She does really well at the groomers as well. She just really needs her forever home to know she is still a work in progress, and will need continued patience as she learns that the world is not a big bad scary place and there are people who love her. This girl is so sweet and we have seen glimpses of a funny, loving doggo. She is ready for her forever and ever home. Marnie is a sweet and lovable little lady who came into rescue as a stray and has blossomed in her foster home. This charming girl is ready to find her forever family and shower them with all her love! Marnie thrives on human attention and happily coexists with her canine foster sibling, most of the time. She's a pro at potty breaks, especially when kept on a consistent schedule, and has mastered the art of using potty pads. While she's not a marathon walker, she enjoys leisurely strolls around the block to sniff out the neighborhood news. Now, let's talk about Marnie's unique charm: she has a delightful, high-pitched voice that she uses to let you know when she can't find her people or when she's left alone. Because of this vocalness, Marnie isn't suited for apartment or condo living. She also takes her watchdog duties seriously, alerting you to any comings and goings!
