Story
Little Fozzie is ready for a family! This 10-year-old Pekingese is looking for a cozy retirement home where he can be loved and spoiled. Fozzie is an adorable 13-pound gentleman with a perma-wink and big personality. He loves to be held and is happiest when he's with his people, snuggling on the couch or sleeping on the bed. He's fine with other dogs, but would do best with a calm companion who respects his space and won't jump all over him. He can get possessive of his food, so he'll need to be fed separately from other pets. Fozzie has been through quite a bit and has handled it all like a champ. He came to us with elevated liver values, so we started him on supplements. He recently underwent surgery to remove a mass on his liver. He also had surgery to remove a ruptured eye and a dental procedure where 16 teeth were extracted. He is feeling much better now that his mouth and eye are no longer painful! At the vet, Fozzie can get anxious, so we recommend muzzling during appointments to keep everyone calm and stress-free. He also has some weakness in his hind end and should be kept away from high beds and stairs for his safety. Fozzie may also benefit from light physical therapy. It has been quite a journey with this little guy, but he's been so strong through it all. We know there's someone special out there who can give Fozzie the love and care he deserves.
