Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. If you've ever wished for a tiny shadow who looks at you like you're the most important person in the world, Annie is ready to apply for the job! This sweet, 11-year-old, 17 lb Pekingese / Spaniel mix has a gentle nature, an adorable underbite smile, and a talent for winning hearts wherever she goes. Annie loves being close to her people and will happily follow you from room to room, her little tail wagging and her bright eyes keeping track of your every move. She's also a bit of a kissing bandit and never misses an opportunity to shower hands and legs with affection. Annie has a wonderfully manageable energy level. She enjoys daily walks, rides nicely in the car, and still has playful moments when she tosses toys into the air for her own amusement. She also appreciates the finer things in life, including baths, brushing sessions, cozy dog beds, and plenty of attention. Annie is housetrained, knows several basic commands, and waits patiently for her meals. She is comfortable with a crate but prefers sleeping on a dog bed nearby. She is good with other dogs, and she has been polite and friendly with cats. New people may catch her attention at first, but she relaxes quickly once she has a chance to say hello. She is fostered with Roo the Corgi mix, as they ended up in foster care after their owner passed away. Like many senior dogs, Annie has a few age-related quirks. She is carrying some extra weight and has a few fatty tumors, but they don't stop her from enjoying life. She recently had dental work completed and is feeling great. Annie would likely be happy in many different types of homes. More than anything, she wants a family who will include her in their daily routine and appreciate the loyal companionship she offers. If you're looking for a loving, devoted friend with plenty of personality and affection to share, reach out to A.A.R.F. by text at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com to start the application process. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. August 3, 2026, 5:53 pm
