FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Lunala! Lunala is a 4-year-old, 20 lb Pekingese with a soft, fluffy coat and sweet brown eyes! She’s a gentle girl who enjoys going on walks with her people and curling up for cuddles afterward once she has had time to bond with you and build trust. Lunala is still building her confidence with the world and can be a bit shy and skittish at first. Because of this, she would do best in a calmer environment—somewhere outside the hustle and bustle of busy city life—with patient adopters who have experience helping shy dogs gain confidence and come out of their shells at their own pace. She is great with other dogs and enjoys playing with them, and she would thrive in a home with a confident, well-adjusted canine companion who can help show her the ropes and help her feel more secure. Lunala could also do well as an only dog with continued socialization and a very patient adopter committed to helping her grow her confidence. Due to her shy nature, Lunala would do best in a home without young children, or with older, respectful kids who understand how to give a shy dog the space she needs. Lunala is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Chuck! Chuck is a 4½-year-old, 19 lb Pekingese who has settled in well to his foster home and is showing just what a sweet, gentle soul he is! Chuck’s fosters describe him as a quiet, easygoing guy who rarely barks and loves being close to his people. He’s incredibly soft (seriously, the fluff!) and enjoys nothing more than cuddling up, getting belly rubs, and rolling around in the grass. He’s been making great progress in his foster home with gaining confidence on walks, going longer distances, and while still a bit cautious, he is not reactive on leash. Chuck has done well meeting other dogs, though he can be a little reserved at first and appreciates slow introductions. He would do best in a home with older, respectful children, as younger kids can be a bit overwhelming for him. He has not been tested with cats. Chuck is also doing well with potty training and has not had accidents in the home when kept on a consistent schedule. He isn’t a big fan of the crate but tolerates it at night, especially when it’s close to his people. This sweet, treat-motivated boy is looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue to build confidence and be someone’s loyal cuddle companion. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, low-key pup to share your days (and your couch), Chuck might just be your perfect match! Chuck is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Meet M&M! Marshmallow and Mac are a bonded pair of pups on the search for their new family. These cuties are about 9 and 7 years old and have plenty of pep. Marshmallow adores playing with stuffy toys and Mac enjoys going for walks. And they both love snuggling with their humans! These two cuties lived with cats and did well, but they need to be the only dogs in their new home. These two will likely do well with older kids who can handle them gently.
