Story
Flynn is a good boy that was rescued and looking for his forever home. He is good with playing with other dogs and doesn’t bother cats. He does good with kids but does nip from time to time. Needs someone who does not have a busy schedule. We would keep him but already have other pets. He would probably prefer being the only dog or another dog on the small/medium size. He is crate trained. Still working on potty training and having accidents inside. He would pick it up easier with someone with time.

Story
Samwise, affectionately called Sammy, may have started life as a stray, but his story is really about loyalty, heart, and second chances. Found wandering with his brother Pippin, these two young adventurers had only each other as they navigated the world. Now safe and cared for, Sammy is ready to find the family who will be his true fellowship. Sammy has a gentle, thoughtful personality and tends to be a little more observant than his playful brother. He enjoys taking in the world around him, watching what’s happening, and then happily joining in once he feels comfortable. Once Sammy bonds with you, he shows just how deeply devoted he can be. He’s the kind of dog who will quietly stay by your side, happy just to be near his people. Like any young dog, Sammy still has plenty of playful moments. He enjoys toys, time outside, and spending time with other dogs. He does well with canine friends and would love a home where he can continue building confidence and enjoying life with a buddy. Sammy is crate trained and learning his basic manners, and with patience and consistency he will grow into an incredibly loyal and loving companion. Just like the Samwise of Lord of the Rings, Sammy represents the best kind of friend—steady, loyal, and always ready to stand beside the ones he loves. All he needs now is a home where he can put down roots and share that loyalty for a lifetime. If you’re looking for a dog with a big heart and a calm, devoted nature, Sammy might be the perfect addition to your family. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area

Story
**Senior Alert!** Meet Reo, a lovable 13-year-old dog who is currently residing in a shelter. This sweet senior is in desperate need of a forever home! Reo adores cuddling on your lap and soaking in all the affection he can get. Though he may occasionally seem aloof or spaced out—thanks to his age—the shelter environment can be overwhelming for him. Reo is great with both cats and dogs and is good with kids, as long as they handle him gently and don’t try to carry him like a baby doll. Please consider adopting Reo and giving this wonderful boy the loving home he deserves!

Story
Harper is a 6-year-old Pembroke Corgi. She has exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) that we have treated since she was a puppy. There is a daily medication she has to have. She would need to be placed with someone that can be with her during the day for small feedings and frequent potty breaks. My husband and I are often gone 10-12 hours through the day with complicated work schedules and no longer have help to take daytime care of her. She is the sweetest, most loving and emotional dog. She loves to be held. She’s good with other dogs as long as she eats away from them. She tolerates cats. She goes by Harper, Harper Moon, Poopoo, and Poopie. She is good with kids and has been around our wild child since she was born.

Story
Name:  Charlie Age: 8 months Weight: 26 lbs  Adoption Fee: $350.00 Good with Dogs?  Yes  Good with cats?  He is a little too interested in cats so needs a cat-free forever home     Charlie found his way into the rescue when his owner was trying to rehome him at a dog park   He was taken by a Good Samaritan who wanted to make sure he ended up somewhere safe   Charlie’s mom is said to be a Corgi mix and dad is a Husky mix…so he’s got short legs and definitely took after mom with his appearance, but his coat is so much softer than it looks   Are you looking for a super sweet, playful, handsome puppy to give a forever home?   Charlie is all that and more!   Charlie is crate trained and does really well in his crate.  He’s a typical puppy who gets the zoomies and then wants to nap.  Charlie loves to play with other dogs so he’d love to have a dog friend in his forever home.     Please be realistic about your living situation before submitting an application. Charlie is still a puppy who very occasionally chews things he finds, would love to do an obedience training class and is expected to be somewhere around 30 lbs as an adult (perfect size!  Not too big or too small)  With his size, he can realistically live for 12+ more years and we want to place him in a forever home, not an “until” home.    He’s neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested  and micro chipped.    Don’t miss out on a wonderful new companion and get  your applications in now.    Adoption Process: Step 1:     Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Step 2:     PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:     IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. &#226&#128&#139Step 4:    If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.          June 1, 2025, 9:34 am

Name:  Finn Age: 1 year Weight: 20 lbs  Adoption Fee: $300.00 Good with Dogs?  Yes  Good with cats?  No Type of home: Single family home.   He’s got the voice of a tenor and the work ethic of a town crier.   He’s quite the talker, so he’d do best in a home without shared walls—no apartments, condos  or townhomes, please   Finn found his way into the rescue when his owner was trying to rehome him at a dog park   He was taken by a Good Samaritan who wanted to make sure he ended up somewhere safe   Finn’s mom is said to be a Corgi mix and dad is a Husky mix…so he’s a wonderful combination of short legs and a fluffy coat    Are you looking for a super sweet, playful, gorgeous, and oh so soft pup to give a forever home?   Finn is all that and more!   Finn is crate trained and does well in it for reasonable periods of time.  He’s a young dog who gets the zoomies and then wants to nap.  Finn likes other dogs but needs a home without cats.  He’s great in the car so could be a wonderful companion to someone who likes to travel.     Please be realistic about your living situation before submitting an application.
