Story
Arden is a total sweetheart! This 5-year-old big Lynx Point Balinese Mix boy has been well-taken care of and is well-socialized. He is comfortable being around new people though he does not like being around small children. He is used to being around other cats and friendly dogs, and he seems generally to do fine. But he does not like to be bossed around so he would also be great as the only cat. Though Arden loves being pet and being in the company of humans, he lives for being outside! Rain, snow and cold don’t deter him! He loves exploring and going on adventures. In order for Arden to find the right family he requires safe access to the outdoors. Arden believes ideally that he would have a cat door where he can come and go as he pleases. This great big beautiful blue-eyed guy is ready for a home where his family will appreciate his eagerness to guard the homestead, and all is well on the premises. And when it's time to come inside for a pet and family time, they will let him know he is adored. In Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

Story
Macadamia is a silly ball of energy with shorter legs that get her places quickly. At about a year old, she is moderately playful but especially likes toys she can chase. She isn't entirely convinced that brushes are not toys but seems to enjoy being brushed if you catch her in a calm moment. While her long, soft hair and swishing feather duster tail is a siren's call to be pet, she is very particular about it. Other than a quick pet of the tail while walking (because it's always up in the air!), she only likes being pet when she's calmly relaxing. She is firm but gentle with her boundaries and clearly communicates when she's done. For this reason, she will do best in a home that does not have small children. Additionally, she does not like being held but doesn't squirm too hard if you know how to hold her right. She is curious about what humans are doing and follows people from room to room. She even warms up to visitors quickly. Sometimes her love of blankets and heat pads has led her to sleeping on the bed with humans at night but she's sensitive to movements. She has started to parrot how talkative the resident cats are and could become quite the talker with a chatty family! She would do best in a home that has another moderately playful cat. We don’t know how she is with dogs but would probably do fine with a mellow dog that will respect her space. She will need a safe fun yard to enjoy sunny summer days once she is bonded and feeling comfortable with her new family. She is in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089.

Story
Tim came into rescue in pretty rough shape, matted to the skin and unable to walk on his front leg. But now he is healed, happy, and ready to move in with you! The only evidence that he has ever been at the vet is his fashionable haircut, which will take another few months to grow out, but we don’t want him to wait for his glow up for him to find a new home! Based on the hair he still has, we predict he’s going to be a beautiful long-haired gentleman with a velvety soft coat. Tim is crazy about catnip, adores attention, and will be confidently roaming your house and head butting you for pets as soon as you let him in the door. He is a social butterfly without getting too much into everybody’s business. Tim would probably be okay as a solo cat or with other cats. He currently lives with his foster buddy Roamin and they do great together. He has not been a fan of dogs so far, but also has not had much exposure yet. He hasn’t been around kids but would probably love them. This amazingly social guy is ready to have his own family who will never abandon him outside on his own again. But he will need a safe yard where he can hang out and enjoy the summer without worrying about where his next meal comes from. He's a perfect cat! We think he is about 5 years old. In Anchorage.
