Story
Terracotta and Sparrow are the perfectly matched yin yang of the cat world. Terra is sweet, outgoing, curious, playful and snuggly. Sparrow is quiet, reclusive, introverted, and not particularly fond of snuggles or pets. Although these two seem like complete opposites, when they found each other in their foster home, they became best friends and are now looking for a forever home together. Terra came into foster from a cat overpopulation situation; he was skinny, scared, and matted mess. Terra's nickname early on was "little snail" because he would curl into a tight little ball when he saw people or was petted by someone. However, with a full belly, and gentle love, he uncurled from his snail shell and started asking for love and attention. Now he loves being petted and getting snuggles. Sparrow came to foster as a tiny, sick kitten who lost one of her eyes to an infection. It was a tough start in life. But now, even as she is feeling healthy and happy being in a loving home, she has no interest in snuggling or being friends with people. Nor was she interested in other cats--it seemed like she had shut the world out-- until she met Terracotta! It was love at first sight! Now, even though we know that Terra could easily get a loving family and Sparrow could be sent to a barn home, we want these two to have a chance to be adopted together. Terra will be your perfect loving house cat, and Sparrow will be his devoted friend who will be fine in a home as long as she has her beloved Terra. Sparrow doesn't have anything against people; she's not aggressive or angry, she doesn't hiss or swat, and she will tolerate a little bit of love from her people but it's just not really her thing. Terracotta has so much love to give, to his forever family and his forever friend, he will easily give you the love of two cats. And so they make the purrfect pair! Not recommended for homes with small children, but both kitties do well with nice chill dogs and they are totally fine with other cats. They will need a nice safe yard to enjoy some summer sunshine once they are feeling very comfortable in their new home. They are in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089.

Story
Macadamia is a silly ball of energy with shorter legs that get her places quick. At about a year old, she is playful, and especially likes toys she can chase. She isn't entirely convinced that brushes are not toys but seems to enjoy being brushed if you catch her in a calm moment. Her long, soft fur and swishing feather duster tail is a siren's call to be pet. She is gentle but firm with her boundaries and clearly communicates when she's done. While she does not like being held, she doesn't squirm too hard if you're only holding her long enough to get her front claws trimmed (because while she tries to be gentle, they are sharp!). She is really curious about what the humans are doing and follows people from room to room. She even warms up to visitors fairly quickly. It's obvious she didn't grow up being handled by humans but has been adjusting very quickly. While not a lap cat, she does like to cuddle up against your legs to nap. She has started to parrot how talkative the resident cats are and could become quite the talker with the right family! She would love to be adopted with her sister Pistachio but if not she will need a young fun friendly kitty in her new home! We aren’t sure how she is with dogs but may do okay with a calm feline friendly dog who will respect her space. Older kids that are settled and not rambunctious should be okay too. This beautiful little lady needs a quieter home to continue blossoming to reach her fullest potential. A nice safe yard to explore will be needed once she is fully comfortable and settled in her new home. She is in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089. Thank you!

Story
Job Opening: HRH (Her Royal Highness) aka Harriet is seeking a kitty whisperer! She loves getting scritches, has a sweet gentle meow and likes friendly dogs. She will take some time to adjust to a new home as she decides where her throne room is going to be and this beauty queen knows what she wants and doesn’t want. She lives by trust is earned, not given freely! We have discovered that she doesn’t like other cats so she must be the only kitty in her new home. Not to worry though, when you are gone, she entertains herself playing with her toys. Don’t let her age of 8 years old fool you, she still has plenty of energy so toys and entertainment are a must! If she does not approve of something she will bat at you with her paw as if to say, “please stop doing that.” Older children who respect her space should be fine in her new home. She loves food and getting Churu on demand. Once settled in she will need a safe fun yard to spend time with her family and play in the lush green grass. She is in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089. Thank you!
