Persian kittens & cats in Kamloops, British Columbia

Meet Jake, a gorgeous and social 4-year-old Domestic Long Hair who is ready to find a calm, understanding home where he can truly settle in and feel safe and loved.Jake is a very outgoing and friendly cat who loves attention on his terms. He is looking for a quiet, low-stress environment with people who will give him the time and space he needs to become comfortable. Jake would do well as an indoor cat but he has previously gone outside on a harness supervised or likes to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the outdoors from a secure catio or other fully enclosed outdoor space.Keeping Jake's mind and body busy will be important with lots of enrichment such as scratching posts, cozy hiding places, window watching, toys, and gentle interactive play. This will help keep this handsome fellow happy and fulfilled. In his previous home Jake unfortunately had some incidents of aggressive behaviour when frustrated or upset and adopters will need to be prepared to work on this. Due to this history he is looking for a home with cat savvy adults and is not appropriate for a home with children. Jake may be happiest as the only pet in his new home, where he won't have to worry about sharing his space with other cats or animals. In the shelter environment he has started adjusting to seeing some other cats but may be selective of who he likes. When he came into the animal centre Jake unfortunately was fairly matted and has since received an unfortunate haircut. Adopters should be prepared to help keep his long coat free from tangles with regular brushing. If you are interested in adding a furry family member and think Jake is the right fit, please apply online at the link below or in person at the Kamloops BCSPCA.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Buff Weight: 4.8 Age: 4yrs 2mths 2wks
