Story
.  Meet Sunny Sunny is finally ready to find his forever home—and this sweet boy has quite the story to tell.He was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Merced County, where he was found alongside over 120 purebred Persians, all crammed into a U-Haul on a hot summer day. Despite everything he’s been through, Sunny is gentle, resilient, and full of quiet love.Sunny is a shy boy at first and will need a little time to feel safe. He tends to hide until he builds trust—but once he does, he blossoms into a truly special companion. He would do best in a calm, quiet home, either as your one-and-only or with a mellow, friendly cat. When Sunny first came to us, he was severely matted, covered in fleas, malnourished, and battling ringworm. With dedicated care and lots of love, he has made an incredible transformation and is almost fully through his treatments!Sunny is currently being treated for Tritrichomonas, which is contagious to other cats, but manageable and already in progress. His treatment is a simple once-daily oral medication for 14 days, and he’s already on day 2. If you don’t have other cats, he may even be able to go home before completing treatment—we’re happy to guide you through it.Sunny also had to have one eye removed due to a rupture—but don’t worry, it just adds to his charm. He’s healed beautifully and is more handsome than ever Sunny’s adoption fee is $800(This helps cover a portion of the $2,500+ in medical care he received.)If you’re looking for a quiet, gentle soul who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, Sunny could be your perfect match. Duck and Mother Goose MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions Adoption Fee: $1,100.00 for the pair. We have recently posted a number of Ragdolls and Devon Rex from a breeder who decided to close the cattery she had recently opened. She evidently was thinking to branch out into breeding Persians because she also surrendered Mother Goose and Duck, a mother and daughter pair. The last photo I have included below is one taken of Duck, aka the Darling Duckling, on the day we got her. She was so small and so unbelievably cute (!!!!!) with her white feet and white blaze between her eyes. She is no longer tiny but she is still amazingly cute with her great round green eyes. She is all about play and exploration, a carefree young teenager. Her mom is quite different, she has seen more of life and has had the worry of kittens or at least one. Goose is very gentle, cautious, super sweet when she knows you. I think her life has not been all ease and comfort. She arrived stressed and unsure clearly feeling things had not been as safe and loving as she needed. There was a little sadness in her eyes. Did she lose her other kittens? There is no way to know. Persians are all and only about love. They are treasures that must be kept safe and loved every single day. This is true of all cats of course, but it is especially true of tender hearted Persians. These two would like to go to their new home together and spend their years together. They need a family who spends a lot of time at home. Noisy young children and bouncy barking dogs would not be a good for them but other gentle, non dominant, cats might be fine. Duck has kitten play monster energy right now but she will outgrow some of that soon. Goose has a very soft, quiet temperament. She will blossom and be so happy in the love of her humans . Some family will be so lucky to have this special pair to love. They will be loved back by Persians who give their whole hearts to take care of their humans. They do have one request of their new family. " Please give us new grown up names!" I agree. The day for being called Duck and Mother Goose is pretty much over ( And no, I didn't name them) Duck is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz, California. Duck is: Neutered/Spayed, Vaccinated, FELV Tested, Dewormed, Microchipped, Wet Food, Dry Food, Litter Box Perfect Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish them and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are a perfect adopter for Duck please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com. If you are unable to reach Harriet please email info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Story
The trouble with this beautiful boy is that when you're trying to photograph him instead of posing, he walks right to you saying "Here I am pet me". This is both adorable and frustrating. I have lots of close up pictures of his solid black (!) nose and golden eyes. He's a very friendly, loving boy. I don't think his earlier life was easy for him. We got him from a shelter up near Sacramento and I think he'd been outside a lot though I don't know his backstory. The fur on his back is a little "sun bleached" which means UV sunlight has changed the pigment in the cat's hair creating a lighter color. This phenomenon is also known as "rusting" and this term better describes the sprinkling of a slightly reddish color in the surface guard hairs on his silver back. You may not be able to this in his photo's. This is temporary condition- his coat will go back to solid silver in about a year. I haven't had him long but he has settled in quickly with us. He's happy to be inside I think. He's just a youngster- maybe two years old. Persians as a breed especially need to feel love from humans and to have humans to give love to. That's what Persians live for. I think as he enjoys the safety of his new life and the loving humans around him he will become more exuberant. He already likes to play with a feather. He is interested in what's going on out the window .He loves catnip. He comes up and says please love me -all the time. I don't think his last family had been taking care of him as a good little Persian boy deserves. The shelter gave him the lofty name of Prince Frederic. Maybe he could grow into that but I changed it to Blue Bear. "Blue" means "Silver Grey" in the cat world., The shelter neutered him, vaccinated him, wormed him and microchipped him. He was combo tested neg neg( FIV & FeLV) which is important for an outside cat. Probably because it is their busy kitten season they asked our Rescue to take him in. I love Persians and of course said "Yes absolutely!!" He has no bad habits. He uses his box. He'll eat anything. He is extremely agreeable except he doesn't like to be held for photo's. He wiggles. He's what I call a Grateful Cat because I think he's had a hard life and is a little needy. Do you have time to fill him up with cuddles and whispered affection? His coat, and especially his tail, needs time to grow full and lush. We're giving him DHA because his fur seems a little dry and I think we'll probably give him a bath with conditioners before he goes home. He's a loving boy and some great family will have a wonderful companion. I think he's comfortable around other kitties though we haven't had a lot of experience of that because we haven't had him long. There have been no warning signs. I don't know how he is with dogs. We need to be careful there since he may have had bad experiences with them outside. He is not a good choice for a family with young children because it would be great if he could be the child right now and not be competing for love. I think Blue Bear is still just a little too quiet for a young kitty. I see a bit of sadness in his eyes. In his new home, his new life will begin and he will blossom into the confident, playful, gorgeous kitty he was born to be. Some family will be so lucky. Blue Bear is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz, California. Story
Pilots for Paws flew Jazzy and two other Persians from a Midwestern cattery to me. He is a grand champion show cat who fathered many beautiful kittens. His breeder was having serious health issues and had to fly across the country for surgery.,I believe it was to Florida, to get the procedure she needed so she was closing down her cattery. She told me that Jazzy's coat was called was a Cream Shell and this had made him very popular in the show ring. I think she said some of his longer guard hairs had two different colors on each hair, a cream and a reddish portion. There's no question he's a very beautiful cat. He's not a super large boy he's a nice medium size. His coat is fairly easy to care for since he doesn't have much thick cottony undercoat that can make grooming extra troublesome. He is patient being groomed; he considers it affection and he likes all manner of attention from humans. This little boy simply loves everyone. He'll love strangers that come to your door .He wants to be around what you're doing . If you work from home, I can guarantee he'll be next to your computer."Here I am let me just be near you". He gets along with other cats, but he doesn't really need them. What he needs is you. His breeder loved her cats. She told me however that she had made a mistake in lending him to another breeder and this breeder kept him caged and didn't let him run around the house as she did. She worked to get him back and it took much too long a time. Maybe his need for attention and lots of cuddles stems from this experience. Or maybe it's just he is a classic Persian and that's how Persians are. Perhaps both. Jazzy is an absolute darling and could fill the heart of any human who wanted his love. He's healthy , he uses his box, ( he doesn't spray) he eats well and doesn't cause any trouble. Except……… when Jazzy drinks water, he somehow gets it all over his chin and chest. He's wet!!!! . We've tried different kinds of water bowls, and nothing really kept him dry. We determined that what we could do is to shave the hair on his chest and under his chin so it's shorter and easier to keep dry. He's nice about it of course but it is something that his new owner will need to watch out for. It doesn't take long for him to live up to his middle name which is Pigpen. I'm not really over emphasizing how wet he gets, trust me. We all know that Persians take extra special daily attention as to their grooming. We know they are treasures who need to be protected and kept safe. And we know that Persian's are thought to be a little more fragile than some other breeds. They certainly are needy for the love of humans. I'm a big Persian lover and have had quite a few of my own. Loving them as I do,I have still never described them as being particularly smart. They are emotionally smart, and emotionally connected to their humans. That's what they're bred for. For better or worse they are bred to be docile, beautiful and extremely affectionate. I tell people they are very intimate, personal, in their connection to their humans. To be loved by a Persian is a great source of peace and comfort in this difficult world. Some family will be so fortunate to have Jazzy's loving heart in their home. Jazzy is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz, California.
