Story
Kian, and his brother, Mirza, two handsome, golden-eyed boys, have come so far from when they were picked up from a neighborhood colony. Once fearful and distrustful, they now welcome pets and affection with purrs and requests for more. They must be adopted together.
Kian, meaning "king," has a regal attitude. He can often be found posed on the fireplace hearth where he truly looks like he rules the world. While he may at times appear aloof, casually walking away as you approach him, he loves attention. When he's ready, he will summon you with a quiet meow and wait for a response. He loves to have his back scratched and will reward head and face rubs with a gentle purr as he reaches up for more. If he's truly relaxed, he will allow his fluffy belly to be stroked. He is curious and enjoys sitting on the windowsills, watching the birds and squirrels in the trees. A perch where he can survey his domain is where he is
most comfortable. His favorite toys are a catnip mouse which he will carry around and toss up in the air to catch and feather wand toys.
Kian gets along well with the other cats in the house if they do not challenge him. He and Mirza will often play together, tumbling around on the floor. He is a sweet, mild-mannered boy, who will bring much joy to a calm household with someone who will appreciate him, taking the time to know him. We think he would do well with older, respectful children.
Kian is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
He currently lives with his foster family in Foresthill .
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Kian (and Mirza) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Sharon at myfosterkittens05@gmail.com If you are unable to reach Sharon please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
