Story
Meet Minerva, aka Minnie! Minnie’s life took a turn when her elderly guardian moved and she lost her lifelong home. This shy tortie has been through a lot, but with patience, love, and maybe a little bribery in the form of treats, she’s finally starting to show her true personality. She’s not the type to rush into your arms—she likes to inspect, approve, and then maybe settle in—but once she decides you’re cool, she’s basically a velvety little lap heater with built-in purr engine. Minnie is classy, well-mannered, and quietly hilarious if you pay attention. She has impeccable litter box habits, keeps herself groomed like a tiny tortie fashionista, and loves her hideaway spots like a queen’s throne. A sunny window, a cozy cat tree, or a secret box? She approves. Need a companion who can silently judge your life choices but still cuddle you later? Minnie is your girl. Her perfect home is calm, indoor-only, without kids, and ideally as the one-and-only pet… though a gentle cat or dog who respects her space might get lucky. Vet visits? Not her fave—some mild sedation may be required—but the payoff is worth it: a cat who will gift you a lifetime of trust, soft purrs, and subtle sass. Minnie is currently in a loving foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved by AFRP staff. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org to fill one out today!

Story
Introducing Watson! This talkative boy was recently returned to AFRP with his adoptive brother Chip due to no fault of their own after being adopted from us as kittens! Watson is quite a lively and talkative kitty who loves to let you know when it's time to play or get pets, both are frequent requests! Watson's playful side often leads to daytime zoomies, and his happy trills are sure to bring a smile to your face. Watson has been totally happy playing with a simple piece of string, will try out almost any toy, and has recently decided that a Kong cat brush is the best thing ever invented - purr, trill, look sideways and meow loudly at foster mom if she stops brushing! Both cats accommodate their foster mom's morning coffee time, but Watson can't understand why she might later be on a computer instead of playing with him ... so he creates his own games to lure her away. Watson also chatters (specifically) at the sight of crows. Watson is bonded with his brother Chip and must be adopted with him! He and his brother both enjoy lounging on cat trees and towers, and they love watching 'cat TV'-birds, squirrels, and people walking their dogs through the window or sliding door. They even show off their hunting skills by chasing the occasional fly around the apartment! Watson's preferred home is with adult adopters or families with cat-savvy children over 15. It is unknown at this time how he would do with other animals in the home as he has only been housed with Chip. Watson is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for our online dog application.

Story
Meet Kitty Pryde! This gorgeous girl came to AFRP with her siblings as undersocialized kittens, but they have learned to love humans, other cats and dogs in foster care. And they are now ready for their own homes! Kitty Pryde is a beautiful, sweet and curious girl. She may be just the perfect combination of playful and snuggly. Kitty is a longhair kitten so she will require regular brushing to prevent matting - fortunately she loves to be brushed! Kitty is very fond of other cats and would love to find a home with a feline friend. She also does well with small, cat-savvy dogs. She hasn’t met children but would likely do well with children over the age of 10. Kitty Pryde is currently in foster care. Meet and greet can be arranged once an online application has been received and approved.
