Persian kittens & cats in Rome, Georgia

I’m looking to rehome my 4-year-old Chinchilla Persian. He is a sweet, docile, and shy cat who does well in a calm environment. Unfortunately, my schedule no longer allows me to give him the time, attention, and consistency he deserves. He is up to date on vaccinations and was recently seen by a veterinarian about two months ago. He is healthy overall. One thing potential adopters should know is that he has an ongoing issue with urinating outside the litter box. He has been medically evaluated, and no health concerns were found. It appears to be behavioral, and I do not currently have the time needed to work through the issue with him. I am looking for a patient, experienced owner who can provide him with the attention and environment he needs to thrive. He thrives in a quiet calm home, receding a lot of attention and 101 time, My priority is finding the right home for him.

I was surrendered to a local animal control with several of my siblings when my owner could no longer care for me. I lacked full socialization at the time I made my way to FFRS, but now I am a good girl - making a 180° turn-around since my intake, allow petting, and would love a calm home with someone who is patient with me. I am not shy or aggressive – I just don’t yet fully understand this whole affection thing. Sometimes I like it a lot. My main motivation is treats that make me very happy. I forget my lack of socialization skills when someone plays with me. I can be petted, but I prefer it just be my head and shoulders and I absolutely LUV my neck massages and will reach out asking for one! I don’t seem to mind other cats as long as they are nice to me but have not met any dogs. Yarbrough still finds people a bit sketchy and would rather you not mess with him. However, he likes to sit and watch you and admire your beauty and the ability you have to feed him and give him fresh water. He doesn't even mind you slowly tossing him a toy.He loves other cats and will play and play and play with them until they finally have to tell him to move on. Yarbrough is hoping your cat needs a companion to play with when you are tired and just need a little cat free time. He promises to babysit all your other cats and keep them occupied. Who knows, he may even get some encouragement from them about what a great person you are and he may need up loving you as much as the cats you have adopted him to herd around.Think about it!!! In the short time that Jaiden has been with us, she has become a volunteer favorite. She is an old gal and she probably has quite a story to tell. We have no idea how she ended up being a long term resident at an animal control, but she is no longer there languishing in a kennel. She is at Floyd Felines and feeling pretty good about herself. She is so friendly and loves people and other cats.While she is very happy, she knows that any kind of shelter isn't a true home for a cat. She is so hoping that someone will adopt her and give her a home for the rest of her life and she'll never have to set her precious paws into a shelter again. She would be find as an only cat or with other cats. Come and meet her and see if you love her as much as we do.
