Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.AllergiesAlfredo is a lovable and goofy guy with a very strong independent streak! He came into rescue a neglected and matted mess and required some TLC to get him feeling better and living much more comfortably. Alfredo is estimated to be 10-11 years old, he came into our care 4 paw declawed and as many declawed cats are apt to do, he will bite when he’s uncomfortable or mad as this is his only way to defend himself! This doesn’t happen often, but is important to share as he may not be well suited with younger children. Alfredo is happiest as an only pet, he takes a daily prescription medication for allergies (which he isn’t always a fan of) and he does need additional help with grooming himself. We have found that Alfredo is best suited to having a groomer shave him a “lion cut” to keep his fur free of mats and funny enough…Alfredo does best wearing a shirt or body suit! Yes, our little man is a bit of a diva and we’ve learned that keeping a shirt on him stops him from chewing at his skin. So, a wardrobe fit for a king will be a major plus in Alfredo’s eyes! Alfredo's adoption fee is $125 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and an FIV/FeLV test. Alfredo is seeking an indoor only home with adopters that have a history of having kept their pets indoors, altered, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a background check, home visit, and a vet history check. If you would like to meet Alfredo please fill out an adoption application on our website, adopthope.org.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 24, 2025, 1:05 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jessa is a gorgeous, floofy, long haired tortoiseshell kitty, and is a perfect combination of sugar and spice. She is sweet and craves laptime, but has just a touch of harmless “tortitude.” She was found outside in late winter as a youngster – cold, thin, and hungry. Since coming to Last Hope, she has been enjoying the safe and warm indoor life and making new cat and kitten friends. She has a quiet and soft-mannered demeanor. Although a quiet cat, Jessa has her affectionate and playful moments. She tends to seek out affection on her own terms, and is not at all “clingy,” but when she wants pets, she wants pets and thoroughly enjoys them! She enjoys wand toys, catnip mice, and even some playful wrestling and bunny kicking with her cat roommates – the ones that tolerate it anyways. Jessa can be little timid with new people at first, but once she warms up to someone, she is a loyal friend. She might put on a bit of a grumbly show (that tortitude!) with new cats at first, just to establish that she is royalty and shall be treated as such, but she comes around with slow and proper introductions and actually seems to enjoy the company of other cats. Although Jessa will play with and groom foster kittens, but she also gets along with the adult male cats she has been roommates with – they know she has a little sass and ‘tude, and respect her space. Jessa would be happiest in a low-key household without rambunctious younger children or bouncy pups. She tolerates both, but often gets overwhelmed by too much commotion when it occurs and will hide. She would adore being the single pampered princess cat, or in a household with another low key cat or two. Because of Jessa’s gorgeous long coat, she will need her humans to be dedicated to occasionally brushing her coat and monitoring for mats in her fur. Jessa is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, and has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Her adoption fee is $100. This covers her spay, current vaccinations, FeLV/FIV test, microchip, deworming, and monthly flea treatments. Last Hope requires that all cats be kept current on vaccinations and are *indoor* pets only.  If you are interested in meeting this sweet and sassy Tortie, please fill out an application on our website.
