Story
If you’re someone who likes growing things such as flowers or vegetables, you might appreciate watching Logan blossom from a skittish cat into a confident one. He’s still in foster, where he’s come a long way from the bundle of nerves he was after losing everything he once knew and winding up at the shelter. In fact, he’s friendlier and sillier by the day. One thing you'll notice right away is his fluffy coat. He's so soft that you’ll want to pet him all the time, but Logan values his autonomy and must be allowed to give his consent. He actually has the cutest way of letting you know when he's ready for affection: Offer him your index finger for him to sniff, and if he rubs against it, congratulations—you've been granted permission! He continually checks in with these nose boops and when he’s done getting loved on, he’ll go and do his own thing a few feet away. He definitely likes being near his person, even if he doesn’t want constant interaction with them. Logan is super food motivated, so treat-based games and foraging puzzles are a fantastic way to keep his clever mind busy. He also enjoys entertaining himself with toys, especially electronic-motion ones and anything infused with catnip. Wand toys, however, are still too scary for his taste, so he'll happily skip those. This slow-burn boy is waiting for a chill home with someone who enjoys celebrating the little milestones, and understands that the most meaningful bonds are built with patience. He would do best as an only cat, although he seems to vibe with dogs given a thoughtful introduction. *Since adjusting to a new home can be challenging for an anxious cat, it will be crucial for Logan's adopter to confine him to a small spare room or bathroom (along with his food, water, and litter). Visiting his room at regular intervals, getting down on his level, offering treats, and speaking softly (while avoiding prolonged eye contact and forced touch) will ease the transition and accelerate the bonding process.
