Story
Meet Kitty! Kitty is a sweet cat who has previously lived with another cat and did very well. She loves taking naps and lounging on the couch, where she is happiest relaxing. Her favorite toys are catnip toys and anything with bells, which keep her entertained during playtime. Kitty may be a little nervous when meeting new people or adjusting to a new environment, so giving her time and patience is important. Once she feels comfortable, she becomes very affectionate and enjoys spending time with her people. She also needs regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and looking its best. If there are other pets or children in the home, slow and proper introductions are recommended to help her feel safe and comfortable. With a little patience, love, and routine care, Kitty will make a wonderful companion. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Say hello to Stephen! This handsome fella has done well with other cats and children. He has not met dogs. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Stephen has had litter box concerns in the past. During his shelter stay, medical causes have been ruled out. It is important his adopter is prepared to help him be successful with proper litter box care and setup. Ask a staff member for tips! Stephen is a total ham and very affectionate. He is a bit overweight (which can contribute to litter box issue), and he would benefit from weight loss with a proper diet and exercise. He should be fed measured portions of a high-quality cat food to help him maintain an appropriate weight and long-term health. Any necessary supplies or toys can be purchased from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. Story
Say hello to Eggo! He came to TCHS with their littermates. Eggo is the more nervous of his group and may need extra time and space to settle in their new home. Eggo spent some time in foster care and his foster said he loves to run through the cat tunnels. He may be a bit shy at first but is more than happy to chase around a crinkle ball for you. He isn't picky though when it come to toys or food as long as you provide it he is happy! Eggo has spent time around adult cats and has done well. She has spent time around small breed dogs and was nervous. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. He should be fed measured portions of a high-quality cat food to help his maintain an appropriate weight and long-term health.
