Meet Marble! Marble is an incredibly outgoing and playful kitten who is looking for a very special home. Marble and her siblings came into our care after being diagnosed with a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, commonly known as “Wobbly Kitten Syndrome”. This is a condition that kittens are born with and primarily affects their fine motor function. There is a wide range of severity for this condition. While the condition does not worsen with age, it is not treatable, so it will not improve either. Typically, cats with CH can live long and happy lives, but do require a special set up in their homes and some adaptive tools to help them succeed.We would consider Marble to be a more severe case. She is quite wobbly at all times, but is doing well at navigating her space, using her litter box and eating and drinking with some assistance. Marble is not a kitten that can safely navigate stairs on her own, so she will need a home that is either a single level or has the ability to block off any stairs/ledges so she can not access them on her own. She will also struggle on smooth/slick flooring, but does well with the help of rugs or yoga mats for extra traction. She may enjoy the company of other social cats and dogs, but would require a slow introduction and additional management. Marble is very social with people and loves to play with her siblings. She love to chase and clumsily pounce on her toys and is very curious about new spaces and people. She is quick to climb into your lap for attention. Salami is a very shy, not-so-social guy who is still unsure if people are kind or safe. He is very nervous around people and prefers to monitor and observe them from a distance. With lots of patience and consistency in his routine he has slowly started to come around, but would ultimately be best as a working cat. He might also be a great fit for somebody who has a lot of patience looking to take on a `project cat`.
