APPLICATION IS THE FIRST STEP https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ADVR/Cat Moving past Popcorn's grumpy looking face, you'll discover this boy is sweeeeeeet and once he settled into this foster home, he is showing strong Lapcat tendencies! He sometimes likes to do his own thing but also seeks out human attention and affection. He is looking for a home with a stable environment, preferably with another cat, as he originated from a multi-cat home. A slow introduction is necessary but once that's over, he's good with other cats. He is not tested with dogs, sorry dog people! Not tested with kids, but he's got a sweet and gentle disposition and should be fine with kids who know how to interact with cats. He requires DAILY BRUSHING! His fur is very very long and will require daily upkeep to avoid tangles and matting. Popcorn is neutered, microchipped, negative for FIV/FELV and current with vaccines. He lives in a foster home with other cats and get along well. He has not been tested with dogs or children. All of AdvoCat Rescue's cats and kittens are fostered in private homes. We require a completed pre-application to be submitted prior to scheduling potential adopters to meet them. Once an application is approved, we then schedule a virtual meet & greet. Applications can be accessed on this link: www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ADVR/Cat Adoption fee is $500.

Story
Let’s dish about our feline friend Gazpacho! She’s a unique kitty looking for her special someone—could it be you? Unlike the soup, this fancy feline is anything but cold! Gazpacho warms up quickly to new people, places and even other pets. She enjoys the finer things in life—cuddle sessions, playtime, tasty treats, being brushed and, of course, being pampered. Her foster says that Gazpacho is the biggest mush, and you’ll agree too! Gazpacho is looking for a patient, experienced adopter who can provide a home for a cat with special needs. Due to a neurologic disease, she walks with a wobbly gait and sometimes requires assistance when jumping onto high surfaces and grooming herself. But this doesn’t stop her from living life to the fullest! A Matchmaker can discuss with you what is needed to set her up for success in your home. A Matchmaker can discuss if Gazpacho could be a good fit for your family.  A Matchmaker can tell you more about her medical needs. Gazpacho has previously lived well with other cats and dogs.  Gazpacho requires a special litter box set up. A Matchmaker can give you tips to set Gazpacho up for success! If you are interested in learning more about lovely Gazpacho, click the “Adopt Me” button to complete an application here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/715aa995-a1db-4eb2-a4ba-55b124150a17   *The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.*  For more information on adopting from the ASPCA, please visit www.aspca.org/adoptionsteps. &#226&#128&#139 **The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet. Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!** April 25, 2024, 3:33 pm
