Persian kittens & cats in Defiance, Ohio

Luna is a 6 yr old persian we’ve had since she was 2 yrs old. She is beautiful and once she’s used to you will bop her head and demand scratches under her arms and wrap herself around your arm to nap. She is very loved and this is incredibly difficult for us to do but we have a newborn and changing work schedules that are stressing her out and we are unable to give her the attention she deserves. She’s always been a bit nervous and easily scares at any loud noises, other cats or kids so we’re looking to rehome with someone that doesn’t have or plan on having kids or other cats living with them. When she is stressed she does have a tendency to develop cystitis and may pee on common area carpets/rugs. She just had a checkup and is healthy otherwise. She likes open litter boxes due to her hair length and cat soups are must to keep her happy. She loves daily brushing. Only someone who can give her lots of attention and a stable home environment is needed.

This beauty queen is Grizabella! Grizabella is a sweet senior girl who came to FDHS alongside several other cats from a hoarding case.While some of the younger cats have adjusted a bit quicker, Griz is taking her time with all the new sights, sounds, and routines. It’s a lot to take in, and this kind of environment can feel overwhelming for an older gal. Even so, she’s remained super sweet and easy for staff to handle… you might just have to do a little searching to find her tucked away in her favorite hiding spot. We estimate Grizabella to be around 9-10 years old, and she’s likely a mom or maybe even an auntie to some of the other cats she arrived with. She has a beautiful long white and grey coat that’s already starting to look better now that she’s in a clean environment with proper care. With time and consistency, she’s only going to continue to flourish.Grizabella does have some dental issues, likely from the conditions she came from, so she’s currently enjoying a steady diet of wet food… which she is more than happy about. It’s easily the fastest way to win her over.She would do best in a quiet, patient home that understands she may need a little time to feel comfortable and come out of her shell. Once she knows she’s safe, we think there’s a very loving lady just waiting to fully emerge.**Scheduled to be spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention**

This handsome floof is Sye!Sye is a gorgeous long-haired kitty who was found as a stray a few weeks ago in pretty rough shape. Thankfully, a kind person stepped in and gave him a safe place to land. After helping him put on some weight and get back on his paws, they brought him to FDHS so he could find a forever family of his own.Sye is still very new here and settling into shelter life, but so far he has been super sweet with his caregivers. He has a calm, easy-going personality and seems like the kind of cat who’s just happy to have a cozy place and some gentle attention.We’re still getting to know him more each day, but it’s already clear that Sye is a special boy. He’s officially accepting adoption applications and hoping his forever home is just around the corner!**Neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention**
