Being in the military with 12+ hour shifts, while in school and starting flight school my schedule no longer allows me to give her the attention and time she desires. She is a very happy cat that brings so much joy into one’s life. This was the last thing I wanted to do, however I want to see her happy and live a good life.

Looking for the perfect lap cat? Meet Porsha! This petite, fluffy girl has incredibly soft fur, and she enjoys a good brushing. She’s grown more confident every day in her foster home, and her sweet, playful personality has really come through. Porsha is a very affectionate cat, and her favorite spot is your lap. She starts purring the moment you pet her, and bedtime and mornings are her prime snuggle times. With her raspy little meow, she’ll let you know exactly what she wants, whether that’s dinner, pets, or playtime. If you pet her while she’s lounging, she’ll answer with a tiny meow. When it’s time to play, she’s quite the huntress with a feather toy, and she loves catnip and wet food. Afterward, you’ll find her napping somewhere high, like a cat tree or the back of the couch. Porsha is a sociable girl who likes getting pets from new people. She may be a little shy for the first few minutes, but she’ll soon be asking for attention, and she’s relaxed about being held and having her belly and paws touched. She hasn’t told us how she feels about other pets or kids just yet! Whether you’re looking for a lap cat to curl up with on the couch or an affectionate girl who’ll greet you with purrs at the end of a long day, Porsha would love to be your girl! Porsha, like all Persian's before her and plenty of ones after her, should have her breed-specific needs monitored by her new family. Our staff will be happy to talk all of that over with an adopter beforehand to make sure there are no additional questions about that care! She was also diagnosed with a low grade heart murmur during her intake exam with PAWs. ------------------------------------ This cat is currently located in a PAWS foster home. Please email us at adoptions@phillypaws.org to learn more about meeting them! In order to meet any cats in foster care, you will need to have an approved application first.
