Story
Tall ears, long legs, and a body built for speed (and snuggles)—that's our Pinto! This guy could rival even the most experienced Victoria's Secret model. The world is his runway, and humans are his favorite audience. And it's safe to say, he's a crowd favorite at SNIPSA! Pinto was found with his sister, Tanner, wandering the streets of San Antonio several weeks ago. Now, he's thriving in a foster home with his SNIPSA friend, Nugget, and he has taken on the "big brother" role with ease. Pinto and Nugget love exploring the yard together, engaging in gentle play, and sharing their meals! He has also been teaching the younger puppy all of his best manners and sets the example when crated at night. As a Pharaoh Hound mix, Pinto has a calm but fun-loving disposition and carries grace wherever he goes. He is a joy to behold and even more pleasant to be around.  Are you ready to take home a puppy with extra life experience and unlimited gratitude? If you are, Pinto's the one you've been searching for.

Story
Where do I start.. Iris is a 3 year old shepherd mix. She was found off the side of the road in a pile of brush she, and her best friend Moo, called home. Iris was extremely pregnant when she was found, but was also incredibly unhealthy and skin and bones. After allowing us to rescue her and Moo, Iris underwent emergency surgery to spay and remove her pups. Some may judge, but Iris would not have survived the delivery and neither would have her puppies. It was obvious Iris had some sort of physical trauma in her past after bringing her back to the kennels. After weeks of leash training and sitting in her kennel with her, Iris finally opened up and blossomed into the most loving girl. A month after Moo and Iris were finally comfortable in their new environment, Moo, Iris' companion, took a turn for the worst. Moo, who was older, went into liver failure and passed away. Iris was noticeably grieving for the months to follow and we allowed her to do so. During that time we had a litter of puppies abandoned to us and a baby goat who was scheduled for euthanasia we rescued. Iris didn't think twice. She took each pup and Bob, the goat, under her wing and did exactly what Moo did for her-helped them decompress in their time of need. I understand this was a long read, but it will help you understand how resilient and kind Iris is. She may be shy at first when meeting new people, but she is the most sweet soul I have personally ever met and deserves the best home. Please reach out with any additional questions or to schedule a meet and greet!

Story
Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is$200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
