Story
Max is a happy, 3-year-old Pitbull mix with a heart of gold and absolutely zero history of aggression. Ideal Home: Great with Other Dogs: Max gets along fantastic with other dogs and would love a home with a playmate! No Cats: Max does not like cats and needs a completely feline-free home. Adults or Older Kids: Because Max gets enthusiastic during playtime, an adult-only home or a family with older teenagers is best. The Background Story: Max is a sweet-tempered boy who recently had an accidental play injury. While happily playing a game of tug-of-war with his owner, his nail accidentally caught and scratched a toddler's skin. Out of caution, the child was taken to the ER, which triggered an automatic hospital report under a mandatory "dog bite" policy. The injury was entirely superficial (no stitches or rabies shots were needed), and Max has officially passed and cleared his 10-day county quarantine. He is caught up in a bureaucratic misunderstanding and needs a fresh start.

Story
I am submitting this application on behalf of my next door neighbor Ron, and I would be happy to speak with anyone who is interested in learning more about Diesel. Diesel is a sweet, energetic, and very lovable dog. Sadly, his mom, who is 62, is now in hospice care, and his dad, who is 84, is no longer able to care for him on his own. Diesel is well-loved by our neighborhood. Many of us have been helping by taking turns letting him spend time in our yards or keeping him with us while his dad runs errands. Unfortunately, most of us already have multiple dogs and cats, so we are unable to give Diesel the permanent home he deserves. He is a happy, active dog who would do best with someone who can walk him, play with him, and give him attention. He has done well both indoors and outdoors, and he has been comfortable with and without a kennel. Diesel truly is a sweet boy, and we are hoping to find him a loving home where he can be cared for, exercised, and loved.
