Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
We originally got Akira from some family as they could no longer keep her due financial issues and her behavior. We did not want her to be sent to the shelter to be out down as we thought she might be considered aggressive. She seems to have anxiety and has gotten a little better overtime with training and boarding however a lot of progress was lost as some family does not want to keep practicing the training methods we were taught. She has never been aggressive towards a child however if touched or pet sometimes she growls and she also plays rough. This along with not having time for her we are worried for her physical and mental health as we are unable to provide the life she deserves.

Story
After 5 months in the shelter, Sasha came to us on August 12, 2024, to start heartworm treatment. She’s now heartworm-free and ready for a home, but still hasn’t received a single application. At approximately 7 years old, she’s full of life but tires faster due to past heartworm damage. She’s potty/crate trained, ball-obsessed, and loves daily walks. Sasha is a shadow dog—she’ll follow you everywhere and soak up affection. She’s friendly with strangers, has no guarding instincts, and is calm indoors. She’s not a lap dog but will always ask for pets and nap close by. Sasha thrives on routine and needs patience and enrichment in new places. She’s great in the car but initially anxious in unfamiliar settings. She cannot live with cats or small dogs due to high prey drive. A soft, tolerant large dog may be okay with an experienced handler, but she’d be happiest as the only pet. She is located in Jacksonville, FL but we are willing to travel for the right home!

Rocket

Husky

Male, Adult
Jacksonville, FL
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Rocket is the quietest husky with the biggest heart. He loves to play with other dogs and take walks around parks. For a husky, hes very trainable. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, and come, but hes got that husky attitude that determines if he actually listens, though he usually does. Partially recall/off leash trained. Not a huge cuddle bug, but likes to spend time with, near, and around people. Ive noticed that he bonds easier with men, but any loving home is good. Very gentle, and loves to run free. Rocket needs a home that will bring him out places to explore often. He is mostly house trained but has had a few accidents in the past year, so someone who can get him outside frequently or with a yard is best. He loves to shred cardboard and lay on the couch!
