We received Bandit from someone online who advised that he was up to date on everything. We found out later that he had fleas and possibly ear mites. We attempted to contact the people who we took him from and they refused to answer our questions about him. We are not financially able to take him to the vet to get proper care. We also live in a small house and have 3 kids. He deserves to be in a home who can attend to him more. He is a big dog and he should be doing big dog things. I work from home and my job is very demanding and I am not able to care for him like he needs to be cared for. We love Bandit very much but he deserves more than what he has right now. He deserves to be a happy dog running, hunting, playing, and not sitting inside all day in his bed. He is very smart. He does paw, sit, lay down. He is house trained and very protective. He rarely barks and very vocal. He's also very loving. It hurts to give him up but its what's best for him.

Scott knows “sit,” walks great on a leash, has good recall, and absolutely loves to play fetch. He’s intelligent, eager to learn, and should be a great candidate for continued training with a family who enjoys working with their dog.Scott also gets along well with other dogs and has done well with the respectful children he’s met.Like many dogs in a shelter environment, Scott can show some barrier barking while he’s in his kennel. Don’t let that first impression fool you. Once he’s outside of the kennel, you’ll get a much better look at the friendly, well-mannered dog he really is.At just 2 years old, Scott has a wonderful combination of youthful energy and trainability. He’d love a family who will keep his mind and body active with walks, games of fetch, training, adventures, and plenty of time together.If you’re looking for a smart, loyal companion who’s ready to learn, play, and become part of your everyday life, come meet Scott.
