Story
Hey all, we're looking for a great home for Mr. RJ. We have two males in the house and they are littermates and not fixed, so therefore they fight for the dominants. He is a pittbull, German shepherd, husky mix. He really is the sweetest. He will be 2 in August. He is great with kids, baby's, cats and other female dogs. However we're unsure about other male dogs but fine with females, probably going to have to be the only boy dog. He literally just lays around. When he comes inside its right on the couch till bedtime. Truly this really sucks for us all and is hurting us to let him go. But he deserves better.

Story
Prince is a 9mth old neutered male Pitsky. He weighs 49 lbs. We pulled Prince from our local animal shelter . He was owner surrendered because the owners couldn't afford to keep him. This is a nice dog. He has shown great manners and he really wants to please you. He has so much love to give and is just waiting for his perfect family. He does know a few basic commands and is willing to learn more. He loves being included in daily activities and will follow along with whatever the family is doing. He does have some playful energy but he is not hyper. He has a wonderful temperament and should be easy to finish training. He appears to be house trained. He has been fine with children and other dogs. We are unsure about cats . He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $250. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster mom Lisa at 419-591-6621. They are being fostered in Liberty Center, Ohio. When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets. Current vet information is also appreciated.

When he first arrived, I thought he was much older and that he would be a hospice case. He was stiff and frozen in fear and skinny. He would barely move. I put him in a kennel with younger dogs and he soon found his youthful spirit again and is like a different dog now. I don't know his age for sure but he has lots of life and happiness left in him and I think he is younger than 8. He weighs about 60 lbs now. He learned how to climb out of the 6 ft chain link kennel but he doesn't stray far from it except to follow me on walks. He goes down the pond to take a dip but mostly just hangs out by the kennel. So while he has the skills of a husky to escape, he doesn't have the urge of a husky to run off and go explore. I don't even put him up when I leave because he doesn't go anywhere. He is great with other dogs but sometimes doesn't know how big he is so he wouldn't be good around scared little dogs. Not because he would hurt them, but because they might get scared of him. He is fine with my chihuahuas but they are very bossy and not scared of anything. For that reason, I also don't think he should be around cats. To be clear, he is not aggressive at all, he just tries to play with everything and with his size that just wouldn't work with a dog or cats that's scared of him. He is very food motivated and walks well on the leash as well. He is an awesome boy and I am glad he didn't die at the kill shelter. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Story
Polaris is a young girl who was found dumped on the side of the road with a bag of dog food dumped on the ground as her only help for survival. A good samaritan picked her up and contacted me. Help Polaris never face that kind of treatment again by giving her a forever home. She is very sweet and friendly and great with other dogs and people and kids. She definitely has a prey drive though, which is not at all unusual for dogs, so no kitties or small animals. She walks well on the leash and does well in a crate. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. Story
Bubbie is a beautiful male white shepherd mix who will make someone a great pet. He is goofy, happy, and friendly and good with other dogs. He and his brother Spot found themselves at a high kill shelter through no fault of their own and were scheduled for euthanasia. Bubbie is about a year old, walks well on the leash, and does well in a crate. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below.
