We got her from the animal control shelter. She came to us very skittish and nervous. I, the adult, have been able to interact with her well as I have a calmer demeanor. With my daughter, the interactions are not negative in a dangerous way – it’s more that my daughter is very high energy and loud, which has caused the dog to retreat from my daughter and seem scared. She would thrive in a predictable, calm environment, with low activity. She has been good with other kids who are not loud and very high energy – doesn’t retreat in a scared sense. So not terrible with kids – just doesn’t do well with loud and high energy. She is a sweet dog; she gets her person and will be by your side. Only looking to rehome her as it's become upsetting for my daughter that the dog won't come to her and stay with her. Millie is a pit mix is what I was told, unsure with what and they couldn't determine. Estimated to be about to be around 10 months now.

Seriously... HOW is Pepper still waiting?! This gorgeous German Shepherd mix is smart, silly, affectionate, adventurous, and just the right amount of puppy chaos. Basically, if you want a best friend with four legs and a very busy brain, Pepper is accepting applications. She's crate trained, potty trained, walks pretty well on a leash, and already has great manners-with just a little puppy polishing left to do. She's incredibly smart and eager to learn, so she'd love a family who will keep her mind and body busy with training, adventures, games, and fun. Pepper LOVES other dogs, especially bigger ones who can keep up with her enthusiastic play style. Since she occasionally forgets she's not actually a tiny dog, older kids would be the best fit. She's ready for hikes, adventures, zoomies, learning new things, and loving her people with her whole heart. She'll bring the brains and personality. You bring the snacks. Story
We rescued Fenris as a puppy. Mom was full German shepherd who had been locked up and abandoned, dad presumed to be black lab. He is so sweet and loves snuggles. He has some separation anxiety and becomes very excited when we have visitors. He loves playing in the rain and trips to the lake. He loves visiting his "cousin" dog at my in-laws. He is crate trained, follows several commands, house-trained, and very, very smart. He is 5 years old. Since we got Fenris, my husband has become disabled, our kids are busy teens, one in college and one senior year. They are not home often. I work full time+ and am in school at night. Fenris doesn't get much exercise, spends too much time in his crate while we are gone, and we can't keep up with grooming him or keeping the house clean. He gets too excited and is too strong for me to walk him. It isn't fair to him and I am overwhelmed. We love him and don't want to give him up, but it is what is best for him and us.
