Story
Miriam is a wonderful dog. She is incredibly intelligent and sweet to her owners. We got her a little over a year ago (she is about 6 years old) and it has become clear that she should not be in a house with younger kids. She is an alpha girl. With us she has shown some impulse control issues with mostly male strangers and the kids when they surprise her. These instances have involved growling and snapping but no biting. She would do really well in a house with another submissive dog who likes to run and play or even a playful cat. We have a cat who is not at all interested in her and she is very sweet and gentle with the cat. We also have backyard chickens that she does not mess with at all as they free range. Miriam loves a good walk and would be such a good companion to someone without small kids who does not have a lot of visitors coming and going.

Story
Hershey is a roughly 1-year-old male who appears to be a Husky/Lab mix, though his breed mix is just our best guess. What we know for sure is that he has a big heart and a deep love for people. He is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he is close, soaking up attention and companionship. Hershey walks well on leash and appears to be house trained, making him an easy addition to a home. He is dog friendly and enjoys playful interactions with other dogs. At times, he can get a bit overly enthusiastic during play and may attempt to mount, but this behavior is easily redirected and comes from excitement rather than aggression. With his striking blue eyes and beautiful coat, Hershey is as handsome as he is sweet. He would thrive in a home looking for a loving, social companion who enjoys activity, playtime, and meaningful time with their people.
