Story
Tweety and Sylvester are a bonded pair of brothers searching for a home together. They came to us from a previous home where they likely shared a fairly typical life side by side. Since arriving at the shelter, however, the experience has been stressful for them. They've often kept to themselves, hiding in the places where they feel safest, even if it meant being apart when there wasn't enough space for both. They're beginning to build trust with certain people, but they remain very cautious. What they need most is a calm, understanding home willing to give them the time and space they need to decompress and adjust at their own pace. Both boys are easily frightened, of being picked up, unfamiliar situations, new people, going into carriers, the list goes on.That said, they are making gentle progress. They've recently started accepting treats and enjoying some petting. Tweety, in particular, is beginning to explore the room and feel more comfortable wandering around, though he still has a long way to go before feeling fully relaxed and confident, Sylvester is still very cautious but is enjoying pets and treats and really making lots of progress.Their ideal home will be stable with very little chance of moving in the near future, patient, compassionate, and committed to helping them feel safe and loved. Tweety and Sylvester have never been outdoor cats and will need to remain in a secure, indoor-only environment where they can continue to grow and thrive together. If you would like to meet these beautiful brothers, please submit an application through the link below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.75 Age: 2yrs 1mths 0wks
