Vincent is a male cat that was adopted as a stray kitten by my ex husband. He had Vincent for about15 years when he unexpectedly passed away. My daughter took Vincent in bc he had nowhere to go on such short notice. The problem is that my daughter will be moving back in with me (to Maryland) and I am allergic.

Story
Storm is a 3 year-old Domestic Shorthair mix who weighs 7 lbs. She was surrendered to CHA when her owner could no longer care for her. Storm is an inquisitive, adventurous girl who enjoys running around the cat room. She is very sweet and enjoys being pet, although she can sometimes become overstimulated. When overstimulated, she might swat or try to bite. Storm would likely be best in a home with more mature children who are better able to read her signals and who are old enough to understand how and when she prefers to be touched. If you`re looking for a loyal companion, Storm could be the girl for you!

I am a very affectionate girl who will never say no to ear scratches. Along with being a friendly cat, I am also a bit on the adventurous side and enjoy climbing and exploring new rooms! I`m always purring, and when I`m especially happy I`ll flop to one side and make air biscuits. I`m longing for a forever home that can give me the attention and enrichment that I desire, so if I sound like the perfect match for your family please come to CHA and meet with me today!

Midna is a 12 year-old Domestic Shorthair mix who weighs 11 lbs. She was surrendered to CHA when her owner could no longer care for her. In her previous home, she lived with another cat. Midna wants you to know that only 20% of orange cats are female. That means that she is quite rare! She is also very affectionate and loves when people stop by to visit her. Her favorite place to rest is in her squishy, round cat bed. Midna might be an older girl, but she still has a playful side! She loves to swat at her wand toy and explore the cat room. Midna is a wonderful cat who would be a great addition to any home!

Adopting a Pixiebob

Frequently asked questions about acquiring an Pixiebob - the pros and cons of adopting versus going through a breeder, and associated costs.

You can adopt a Pixiebob cat at a much lower cost than buying one from a breeder. The cost of adopting a Pixiebob cat from a shelter is typically $50 to $300, while smaller rescues may charge higher fees. This adoption fee often includes a basic exam, preventatives, vaccines, microchipping, and spay/neuter.

In contrast, buying a Pixiebob cat from a breeder can be prohibitively expensive. Depending on their breeding, they can cost $1,000 to $3,000.

The easiest way to adopt a Pixiebob cat is through a cat-specific rescue or rescue that specializes in Pixiebob cats. A great place to start is with a breed search on Adopt a Pet, which will show you all the available Pixiebob cats in your search radius.
