Story
M - 7 years old - Gray/White Domestic Shorthair - Echo has mastered the art of stealing hearts. Equal parts cuddle bug and playful goofball, he still has bursts of kitten energy that will make you smile daily. Whether he’s batting around toys, following you around for attention, or flopping over for pets, he’s happiest when he’s near his people. He’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, and so ready to soak up all the love you’re willing to give. The second you start petting him, his purr motor kicks into high gear. He has that comforting, gentle presence only mature cats seem to perfect, mixed with a playful spark that proves he’s still young at heart.Echo is positive for the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). The FeLV virus suppresses a cat’s immune system, which can lead to a wide range of clinical issues like respiratory infections, stomatitis, cancer or blood disorders. It can be easily transmitted through saliva, feces, or urine from cat to cat through social grooming, biting, shared food/water bowls and shared litter boxes. For this reason, this adoptable cat should go to a home with no other cats or with a home with other FeLV positive cats. FeLV cannot be transmitted to humans, dogs, or other animals. While there is no cure for FeLV, it can be managed with routine exams and testing to control the risk of disease development or progression. Cats with FeLV should be kept indoors to prevent the spread of FeLV and reduce their exposure to other infections.ADOPTTo adopt, come see us!
