Peppermint 🍬Female Domestic Shorthair Black || 8 Months Old❤️ My adoption fee has been SPONSORED !! 🤍You see this little cutie-patootie here? Well, maybe you don’t, as she tends to either be curled up in one of the hidey-holes of a cat tower or in one of the covered pet beds. Anyways, this is Peppermint!Peppermint is one of our longer cat residents, being here over 6 months now. Notice how she’s only 8 months old? Yeah. She’s been here since she was a young kitten. Why has this little gal been here so long? Well, that’s likely due to a simple reason: she isn’t the most loving or cuddly cat. She bounces to the beat of her own drum. She likes her space and her own personal time. Now, don’t get confused, she does enjoy getting some love or attention from humans, but most of the time? She could care less, respectfully. She is the definition of an independent cat. She’s content being left to her own devices and being her own entertainment. If you’re wanting a little furry buddy to keep you company, but also don’t want a cat that’s all up in your face demanding all your time and attention, little Peppermint here might just be the perfect fit for you. 🐾

Story
Hazel 💐Female Domestic Shorthair Black || 1 Year OldThis sweet little munchkin here is Hazel. Now, you’re probably looking around the room, wondering, “so… where is this cat?” Chances are, Hazel has tucked herself up into a cat tree being a little anti-social hermit. That’s not entirely her fault, though.Hazel came in as an owner surrender. She was raised by the same person since she was a young kitten in a quiet house all to herself. Now, she’s in a noisy shelter with lots of strange people, cats, smells, and noises. She’s scared and is not adjusting very well to the shelter life. She isn’t aggressive, she is just scared and wants to feel safe. She is skittish around other cats, but will not confront them. If she was to live with another cat, it would be best if it was with others who tend to keep to themselves. Dogs? We have not tested her with them, but it would likely be the same as with cats. She just wants her own space to be hers. A place she can stretch out and relax and learn to feel safe again. If you’ve got a quiet home and some patience to sit with her and help her realize she’s safe, Hazel would be a perfect fit for you. 🐾

Story
Mittens 🧤Male Domestic Shorthair Tabby || 3 Years OldI betcha one of the first cats you got to see and meet upon walking into this room was Mittens. Let me tell you, this gentleman absolutely thrives on attention. He’s a little shadow that wants nothing more than to follow you around and see what you’re up to - and hopefully get some head pats, of course. It’s also an added bonus that he’s easily one of the softest cats around. We think he has a secret stash of kitty fur conditioner somewhere that he uses to keep his fur silky smooth and shiny. Mittens came in as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. While we don’t have much in terms of history of him, it’s quite clear that he was very loved and spoiled. He’s the type of cat that could easily fit himself into any family dynamic. He seems tolerant of dogs, does very well around other cats, and he does phenomenal with any and all types of humans, if that much wasn’t already obvious. As much as this respectable gentleman loves hanging out here and soaking up attention from all that pass his way, it’s about time that he finds himself a proper family he can settle down and have a second chance with. A family that will give him all the love, attention, and kindness that he very much deserves. 🐾
