BACKGROUND: Meet Koa! Koa is a handsome orange boy with a confident and curious personality to match his good looks. He loves to explore, keep an eye on everything going on around him, and make himself part of the action. Depending on his mood, Koa can be playful and full of energy or settle right in for some cuddles and attention. He enjoys spending time with his people, whether that means chasing toys or soaking up pets. With his friendly, adaptable nature, Koa would make a wonderful addition to just about any home. If you’re looking for a cat who brings both fun and affection, Koa is your guy! MEDICAL NEEDS: Koa has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which means his immune system may need a little extra support. The good news is that many FIV-positive cats live full, happy lives just like any other cat. ADOPTION FEE: $125

Story
Meet Lola! A sweet, gentle girl who settles in beautifully once she feels comfortable. Lola can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and shows off her affectionate, loving side. She enjoys gentle pets, head scratches, and is happiest curled up in a cozy bed or relaxing near her people. Lola has lived with cats, dogs, and children in her previous home and did well, so she’s used to being part of a family. She especially seems to enjoy the company of other cats and may benefit from having a feline friend in her new home. In a home, Lola will be a calm, easy companion who enjoys a peaceful environment and consistent routine. Lola came to MARL when her owner had to move across the country and couldn’t take her along. If you’re looking for a kind, low-key cat who will settle in and become a loving part of your home, Lola is ready to meet you.

Story
Shasta and Sienna AVAILABLE FOR: Adoption BORN: Jan 2026, March 2024 SEX: Females BREED: DSH MARL ARRIVAL: Stray BACKGROUND: Meet Shasta & Sienna! This sweet mother-daughter duo has been through a lot together and are now ready to find loving homes of their own. Shasta was found as a stray before raising her kittens in foster care, and she has embraced indoor life beautifully. She has a calm, even-tempered personality and has been incredibly gentle and attentive with her babies, especially Sienna. Shasta is the kind of cat who quietly settles into your space and enjoys simply being near her people while continuing to learn how safe and comfortable home life can be. Sienna, one of Shasta’s kittens, has a playful and intelligent personality. She’s curious, active, and enjoys exploring and interacting with her surroundings. While she enjoys companionship and attention, she’s more likely to become a “satellite cat” who likes being nearby rather than constantly in your lap. The two spend a lot of time together and share a very sweet bond, though Sienna is independent enough that she would likely adjust well on her own too. Shasta may take a little more time adjusting once her kittens leave, as she’s been such a devoted mother. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving pair with a special bond, Shasta and Sienna would love to meet you. MEDICAL NEEDS: Shasta, Sienna, and the rest of their family have tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), a virus that affects the immune system. FeLV-positive cats can still enjoy happy, loving lives, though their lifespan can sometimes be shorter than other cats. FeLV is spread through close contact with other cats, so FeLV+ cats should live with other FeLV+ cats or as the only cats in the home. Shasta and Sienna can be adopted together, separately, or even with more of their family for someone interested in giving multiple FeLV+ cats a loving home.
