Story
Meet Moira – Your Future Toy-Obsessed, Food-Loving Brown Tabby Girlfriend! Moira is a classic brown tabby with perfect eyeliner and the most expressive “I’m up to something” face you’ve ever seen. She is 50% playful gremlin, 50% food-motivated cuddlebug, and 100% entertaining. When the kennel door is still closed, Moira is the queen of affection: she’ll stretch up the bars, chirp like a bird, rub her face on your hand, and basically audition for the role of your soulmate. Open the door and she suddenly remembers she has stage fright — she’ll still love pets, but only on her exact terms (food helps a LOT). Think of her as a vending machine that dispenses purrs for Churu. **Moira’s love languages, ranked:** 1. Food → unlimited pets, head bumps, and full-body leans   2. Fresh, never-before-seen toys (she gets bored fast, so rotate them or she’ll dramatically declare toys “dead to her”)   3. Wand toys and laser-focused hunting sessions   4. Occasional non-food pets (short but very sweet)   5. Being picked up → hard pass, she turns into a furry statue **Social skills:** - Other cats: Total pro. She used to roam the cat room at night with her buddy Flores like they owned the place. She’d do great with another playful, confident cat or as a solo queen. - Dogs/kids: Unknown, but her “only when I feel like it” petting rules would probably work best in a calm, adult or older-kid home. Moira is looking for someone who speaks fluent "Treat" and understands that some of the best cats have a three-foot “personal space bubble” outside their kennel (until they decide you’re trustworthy, then the bubble shrinks to zero). Give her a week or two of routine, a puzzle feeder, and a good toy rotation, and she’ll reward you with chirpy conversations, impressive pounces, and the occasional “you’ve earned it” head boop. If you want a gorgeous, hilarious, slightly spicy young tabby who keeps life interesting, Moira is waiting to interview you — treats recommended for best results. Story
Magic – The Midnight Lady Who’s Slowly Conjuring Trust, One Tiny “Mew” at a Time Magic is a sleek, all-black adult beauty with a coat that swallows light and luminous eyes that seem to hold every secret of the universe. She moves like a whisper—there one moment, gone the next, leaving only the faint jingle of a toy she decided to bat at 3 a.m. when she thought no one was watching. She’s still writing the early chapters of her trust story. Most days she watches the world from the safety of her favorite cubby, but every single morning and evening she pads to the front of her kennel and offers the softest, sweetest little “mrrp?” you’ve ever heard. Translation: “Excuse me, food-giver, it is time.” That tiny meow is pure magic—it’s the first spell she’s chosen to cast on a human, and it works every single time. Touch is still on the “advanced-level” list. Hands are interesting from a distance, but up close they’re still firmly in the “mysterious and possibly cursed” category. Same goes for being picked up—Magic prefers all four paws on solid ground, thank you. We’re celebrating the small victories: she no longer flees when you sit quietly nearby, and sometimes she’ll even play with a wand toy if you keep your movements slow and your expectations gentle. We haven’t formally introduced her to other cats yet, but she watches the nightly zoomie crew with relaxed ears and curious eyes—no hissing, no puffing, just quiet interest. We suspect she’d be perfectly content with another calm, respectful cat who speaks “personal space” fluently, or as the sole enchanting queen of a peaceful kingdom. Magic is searching for a patient, adult-only home with someone who understands that love can start as a single soft meow in the morning and grow—one slow blink, one brave step, one daring toy pounce—at a time. Give her quiet routines, safe hiding spots that slowly turn into lounging spots, and the gift of time, and one day you’ll realize the shy shadow has become your most devoted companion. If your heart believes in magic that unfolds slowly and beautifully, come meet Magic. She’s saving her next tiny “mrrp” just for you.  Magic is FIV+, but that doesn't mean she can't live a long, normal and healthy life! Cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, FIV positive cats are able to live with FIV negative cats in stable social environments. You can read more about FIV here: https://tinyurl.com/58sf9wtj as well as consult with your veterinarian. Let us know if you want to learn more about Magic!
