Hi. My name is Hope Kitty. You can call me Hope or Hopey but I probably won't notice unless you also say "Kitty." I love to hang out in my “catio” or near a window so I can soak in the sunshine and watch all the birds that come by. I enjoy hanging out with mom. Whatever she’s doing, I want to be right there included even if I’m in her way. I tolerate when she holds me like a baby but as soon as she lets go, I get away. I’m not afraid of heights. I can climb and jump (think: cat tree). But loud or unexpected sounds can startle me. When I’m feeling it, I’ll play catch and release with my million colorful springs that all end up under the furniture until mom gets out the yardstick to fish them out again for me to play with. I also enjoy playing trap the dangling, wiggling ribbon. During my downtime, you’ll find me taking a nap on any soft, comfortable surface or chillin’ on mom’s lap while she reads or watches tv. Meet Astrid 💛 a playful, spirited girl looking for the right home We adopted Astrid as a kitten, and shes now 4 years old. She has a big personality and a curious, playful nature that keeps life fun. While shes not a huge snuggler, what she lacks in cuddles she more than makes up for in playfulness, confidence, and charm. She loves to engage with her people and enjoys having space to explore and play. Astrid does great with dogs and has been wonderful around kids & she’s tolerant, friendly, and adaptable. Over time, we’ve had increasing tension between Astrid and our older female cat. Despite our efforts, they continue to fight, and it’s become clear that Astrid would truly thrive as the only cat in the home, or possibly with a male cat, rather than another female. This decision comes from wanting the very best quality of life for her. Astrid deserves a home where she can feel relaxed, secure, and fully herself. She has so much love and personality to offer.
