Story
Meet Silhouette! This 3-year-old domestic shorthair is spayed, medically up-to-date, and ready to find her forever home. Silhouette is friendly and affectionate and loves everyone she meets. She’s an absolute purring machine who enjoys snuggling and giving out head boops. She’s also food motivated and loves a treat. While Silhouette is outgoing, she’s not a total Velcro cat– she appreciates her own space on occasion and will let you know when she needs it. Like many cats, Silhouette doesn’t do well with fast changes. We’re not sure yet if she likes other animals, so a slow introduction would be best if you have other pets and are interested in bringing Silhouette into your household. If you’re looking for someone to be your little shadow, Silhouette might just be the perfect cat for you! Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.

Story
Briggs is a 2-year-old gray gentleman — neutered, fully vetted, and a lean 7.2 pounds. He's the shy type, the kind of cat who watches from a cozy corner before deciding it's safe to join in. He won't be the first to greet you at the door, but give him a little patience and he'll be the one curling up next to you on the couch, purring softly like he's known you forever. He's slow to warm up, but that's because he feels things deeply. Once Briggs decides you're his person, you'll have a loyal, gentle companion who asks for nothing more than a quiet home, a soft lap, and someone who understands that trust takes time. He'd thrive in a calm environment with a patient adopter who lets him come out of his shell at his own pace. Briggs isn't looking for a party. He's looking for a person who'll wait for him. And he's absolutely worth the wait. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter.
