Story
Sure, you've heard it before. 'He's just the biggest baby.' But this is Neptune, and he is THE *biggest* baby! He is a slow-intros kindof a boy, because he needs a lot of babying and reassurance before he lets his true self shine. Then he becomes the king of goofy grins and silly sweetness. With his nice manners and housetraining, Neptune is all set to be your handsomest housemate (which is great, because being left outside alone gives this big baby the blues).  A quiet fellow, he lets his smile and his charm do his speaking for him. Once you are best buds, he'll even let you dress him like a baby doll (cuz he's such a  doll baby!).    ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  DOB:7/15/2020  ~  Intake weight: 53#  ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.html  November 1, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
Draco may be the best Eeyore impersonator we've met! Those eyes tell of an old soul. His past life may not have given him much joy, but he now has a new chance at a better life! A low-energy and humble fellow, Draco is easy on a leash and loves to lean against his favorite people. No need to worry about silly puppy antics - he is a cool and calm customer. Draco likes the lady dogs, but wants to be the handsomest (only) boy in the home. So far, he hasn't shown an interest in toys or play. Like to watch the world go by? Watching is better with Draco by your side.  ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Aug 2019 ~  Intake weight: 75# ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJanuary 22, 2025, 7:50 pm

Story
Roxy is an awesome companion. She loves to go hiking on or off leash. She is intelligent and knew sit as a puppy. I took in Roxy as a lost puppy from someone who was going to take her to a kill shelter. She has grown up on a farm with dogs both big and small, male and female as well as cats. As a puppy she was just a cute, brindle pup who loved everyone and everything, however as she has gotten older she is starting to realized her hunting instincts and because she is living on a farm that does not work well. She recently has been killing neighbor game chickens which is because she is young and dumb but also it is her breed to hunt. She has recently shown interest in our goats as well when they are out browsing and that is not going to turn out well for the goats or her. She would make an excellent outside dog for a family and she would be great with kids.

Story
Gorgeous, freckly Daphne really speaks to you through her pretty dichromatic eyes. What is she saying? Let's play! She likes toys but loves squeaky balls the best of all. She's a springy girl who can clear a shorter fence, so the tall and solid variety is best. Oh, and Daphne has a superpower - she can adapt her play to match pretty much any dog! So bring your pup for a meet-n-greet. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~ Est DOB: Mar 2023~ Intake weight: 56# ~ Adoption details: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 4, 2025, 5:43 pm

Story
Snuggle. Bunny. Yes, we know Luna is in fact a dog, but we just consider that a bonus! You won't need to file her teeth and good-mannered Luna is much less likely to chew your electrical cords (tho she can hop a fence).  She is much easier to take on walks, tho she thinks cardio is over-rated. This low-key girl much prefers your lap. Thoughtful to a fault, she knows there is no room in that lap for other critters, so asks to be your only snuggle bunny. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB: Mar 2018~  Intake weight:  49#  ~  Adoption details: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlNovember 1, 2024, 11:11 pm
